Not only do they have the best prices but they are a family operated business that treats you like family. I had the pleasure of bagging fireworks for them this past week during the rush of the season. They are some of the hardest working & kindest people Iāve met.
They love fireworks but above everything else the joy they bring to their customers & their family. They care about every single person who walks through that door & want to make sure they have a great show. If youāre not satisfied, neither are they & they want to know what they can do to make it better.
So many people came back daily to get more fireworks & even brought more people with them after they told them the deals they got. They have an huge repeat customer base which in itself says so much. All week I witnessed people coming to the registers with a cart (or 2 or 3) full of fireworks then were shocked at the price. Theyād go back & get more fireworks & come back through again because they were under budget the 1st time. They donāt have a lot of overhead like the big box stores and they pass that down to their customers. Their advertising is word of mouth & that 4.9 star rating from 400 reviews shows you just how well they treat their customers.
If youāre putting on a show you can tell Scotty your budget he will walk around with you, show you videos of the different fireworks & make sure you walk out that door with a smile on your face.
Now Scotty is mentioned a lot in reviews, which he completely deserves, but someone not mentioned as much is Teresa. She is the heart & soul of that place. This year was her 50th year selling fireworks there & she embodies everything wonderful about that store. She lives to see the excitement on the kids faces (and adults). Iāve watched her face light up all week when she sees the joy fireworks bring to others. Her generosity is something you donāt find often anymore. She treated me like I was part of the family, even letting my son come to work with me, which has created core memories for him & definitely a future pyro! Sheās not out here trying to get rich sheās just trying to spread joy to everyone she meets.
Itās rare to come across a business that cares this much about their customers & I think it all comes down to family. Whether itās Courtney or Spencer that you see at the register, Vinny bringing in carts, stocking the shelves or even their grandkid carrying out empty boxes, they all work together as a family to make sure your family has the best experience possible & they do it with kindness & respect. They all work so hard for their customers and Iām proud that I got to be a part of it this year. Thank you guys so much for giving me the opportunity to work you, itās been a great experience.
*One last thing to add, if youāre able to, pay in CASH. They accept all major credit cards, tap to pay & Apple Pay (except American Express) but when you use anything other than cash they have to pay a 3.5% fee on your purchase. Using cash helps them keep their operating cost down which they pass on to their customers & is why their...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreBest bet for superior fireworks at great prices. I have been buying fireworks for years, from many places: big stores, i.e. the huge buildings you can see from the highway, the chains (Ph@ntom), smaller local folks (Indiana, WV, PA, TN, etc). Just took a chance and stopped by based on the reviews, but was a little skeptical....everyone says they are the best, but you never know.
These guys rock. You can get good deals many places, but I did get a better deal here than elsewhere -- e.g. the price I paid for Excaliber and other well known brands was ~10% better than other places. BUT what really sets them apart is the "Smalls" -- massive selection of mid and smaller sized items that perform as good or better than much more expensive items elsewhere. That's where I saved hundreds of dollars....and the kids went nuts picking out a wide variety of items.
Example: Found some smaller, 7 shot "cakes" (shoot flaming balls with report). Priced at $3.95 and after discounts paid less than that. These were seriously good fireworks that keep the guests entertained while waiting for the bigger stuff. But here's the deal: fireworks from other places that PERFORMED about the same were about $10. The other store that sold me the $10 cake couldn't describe how it worked, and it had bigger packaging -- so you'd assume bigger is better, right? But these small items from Wholesale had the same punch as fireworks we had bought other places for 2-3X more.
The selection of good smaller items was also superior -- in my experience many stores focus on the high end (mortars, cakes) and the very low end - firecrackers, bottle rockets, but have almost nothing in between. These guys have 2 walls of stuff in the $3-12 range, many higher quality, unique items we have not seen elsewhere, and so we literally filled a grocery cart with it.
So that's the quality side...in the Quantity side, in all, we spent about $1,000 and it filled the back of my minivan. We almost didn't have room for it all. I've spent that amount at other places and just didn't seem like we got nearly the same amount.
As a bonus, just remember that you will get a bunch of free stuff when they ring you up at the register. I feel like a lot of customers didn't know this and might have purchased more if they knew of all the free stuff and extra discounts given at the end.
Double bonus: owners have all big items on video (just ask-- it's on their phones), and have tried all of the items in the store....they can describe every item in great detail.
Suggestion for owners: it would be helpful to have descriptions typed up and attached to the shelf, or the product, and would also be good if you had a TV showing the bigger items in action. The personal tour and descriptions is helpful, but should not be the only way to...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreTake it for what itās worth. 1. I made a google account just to review this place. 2. I am a second generation pyro got the itch from my old man. 3. I have made my living in the construction industry, which demands top quality at low margins, 4. We are fortunate to host annual holidays and splurge on entertainment typically 20-30 people, I have a background in engineering have been told some of my shows are next to professional grade. I decided to deep dive this year online, and look at at a few different places before deciding on purchase. 4.9 stars led me here first. From the time I hit the door, I understood why the 4.9. I had planned on surfing a few stores, but as soon as I entered I quickly realized I wouldnāt need to go anywhere else. Fireworks are in my blood, some of the fondest memories I have as a child. Feel like I learned from some of the best. At the same time, cost of living isnāt cheap, we are mindful of our money. We are fortunate to be able to help spread those memories with others. From the time I hit the door, I felt like I had a friend to help me spread those memories for as long as we can afford it. Donāt waste your time shopping at other stores, Iāve done it for years. My only regret is we hadnāt connected years ago. Price, Quality, Customer service unmatched. Iām talking I bought as much as I could fit in my Ford Explorer, only because I wasnāt driving my 1 ton pickup. Only room left was the driver seat. Whether your looking to do a small show, or put on a large show, donāt waste your time anywhere else. Fireworks arenāt cheap, but youāll leave this place itching to come back at the next opportunity just to interact with the staff. Forever grateful for the business this family runs. Quality service, quality products, rock bottom prices. Something you donāt come across no matter the product your buying but the buzz is real! Looking forward to seeing the team again Labor...
