Ewing, Virginia's Montgomery Grocery is a true gem and a throwback to a simpler time. It's more than just a store; it's a living piece of Appalachian history and a cornerstone of the community. Walking into Montgomery Grocery feels like stepping back in time. It's a classic general store, the kind you rarely see anymore. The shelves are packed with a unique and eclectic mix of items, from local, homegrown produce and homemade jellies to hardware, farm supplies, and even shoes. It's a place where you can find just about anything you need, all under one roof. The owners, the Montgomerys, have run this store for decades, and their dedication is evident in every corner. What really makes this store special, though, is the friendly atmosphere. The staff is welcoming and helpful, and they often know their regular customers by name. It’s a place where conversations happen and people genuinely care about one another. For anyone traveling through the Cumberland Gap area, or for locals who appreciate a good old-fashioned general store, Montgomery Grocery is an absolute must-visit. It's a unique and charming experience that perfectly captures the spirit...

These local owned Mom and Pop stores are almost extinct. Dont miss out on this...
