Union County West End Fair — Local services in Hartley Township

Tractor pulls and animals are great. Nice hometown feel with a fun entertainment stage day and night. Pretty good selection of food vendors. Don't get the funnel cake fingers, it's a rip off. Just pay the extra dollar and get a full sized funnel cake. Fair admission price is OK with kids under 5 free. Mr Sticky's are great and sell a very large $1 bottle of water.

I'd give my 2016 experience 2.5 stars if I could. My biggest beef, I have 2 young boys who like to ride on rides. The rides and the people operating them are down right scary. I'd be very surprised if any of the rides actually pass inspection. Then there's this weird "intermission" (their word for it) from 5pm to 6PM where all the rides close down for an hour for a dinner break!? So we paid for $5 wrist bands to ride unlimited all night, but then had to listen to our kids cry when they couldn't ride during this hour. Needless to say, we left at 5:15 PM because waiting for 45 mins with toddlers for rides to reopen is like an eternity and there was little to do with them in the mean time. Plus we were only semi comfortable putting them on 1/2 the rides. Thank God for the Purple Cow on Rt 45 and a promise for ice cream cones on the way home.

I always enjoyed going to the fair and this year they had reindeer which was super cool. Some of their ride employees could use a lesson on manners though. The first 2 days we went they allowed me to ride with both of my boys who had wrist bands however on the last night the one guy threw a fit and wouldn't let me on until I went way over to the ticket booth to get a wrist band after waiting in line for how long and I asked him why I didn't need one all the other nights that we were there. Also the paw patrol bounce house was very unsafe, the guy told the children to stay away from the back but then he allowed like 8 kids on making it even harder for them to stay away from the back and he failed to tell parents that there was a huge hole in the back that their children could...

The Union County West End Fair is a family friendly environment with great entertainment, inexpensive rides for the kids and some of the best tractor pulls in the area.
