BAS ELECTRONICS has been an ABSOLUTE GREAT EXPERIENCE!!!!! Brian, the owner, is "up front" honest and "to the point" on letting you know if a repair is even economical for you to even fix. This would be for you to make your own decision to buy a new item or fix your quality item. There is a fee to find the problem and look up the parts to get an idea of what it will take to fix the problem of your television. With that, I understand that takes time and I firmly believe that people should get paid for their time spent working on something of mine. And if you decide to fix the issue that fee goes toward the cost of the repair. He seems to be in business to actually help customers and not to just "make a dollar". I'm extremely impressed with the knowledge he has on what he fixes, (i.e. televisions, computers, stereo equipment, and I'm sure much much more)! He seems very friendly and gives good advice relevant to your product even if you ask or not, like tips on short cuts on my remote that I had no idea that were there. Give him a try, you might save yourself some of your hard working money. Oh, he seems very busy and he tries hard to make sure, when you are there with him, that he gives you all of his attention!👍 Definite Thumbs...
Read moreI'd highly recommend BAS/Brian. BAS has recently worked on my vintage Marantz Receiver from the late 1970's. I had replaced the capacitors & transistors and it had been working for about 3 months. Then it developed loud static in the left channel. Brian agreed to look into it. I had given him the schematics I used for replacing components and each replaced component I had "marked" with yellow paint. He commented that the replacement soldering I had done looked excellent. He narrowed the problem down to the tone board. He replaced components on that board and the problem seemed to go away. I took it home and it was fine for about two hours then the static returned. Brian worked on it more and finally he and I reviewed what he had replaced on the tone board (everything including what I had already replaced) and there was no other solution viable but to find a replacement tone board. So bought a used tone board from eBay to swap with my defective board and dropped it off with Brian. He contacted me that it was now working with the replacement tone board and the static was gone. I've picked it up and his pricing for all the time he spent was miniscule. It no longer has the static noise! The sound is good as ever on this...
Read moreBAS Electronics helped me end a five-month ordeal of calling and visiting all the other electronics/guitar shops in St. Louis, Missouri. As soon as I walked in the door, I knew I had finally found the right place to fix my boutique acoustic guitar preamp.
Brian was professional, courteous, and upfront about the potential costs of my repair. He even offered to notify me if he got into more expensive territory instead of just going forward and charging an arm and a leg. Brian replaced a small XLR preamp chip on the circuit board, which required an exact soldiering job that no one else could tackle. He even offered advice on safeguarding the electronics of the guitar preamp. I am happy with the results and will soon be rocking the open mic circuit. Thank you, BAS...
