Dollar General — Local services in Haskell

I stopped by here on my way to Lubbock. Picked up a few things, gave them my only $1 because they had a sign that says they need ones. Asked to use the restroom and was refused, told me “employees only”. It was an emergency, and I was humiliated.

I have only given 5 star reviews up to this point, i figure it’s best to only promote the good places and people instead of throw shade at the ones that disappoint me. But I know for a fact, I was denied restroom access because they are too lazy to clean the restroom. I have never been denied usage of a restroom at Dollar General, and in fact they have two restrooms at this store- one for employees and one for the public. Common at dollar stores with “any-gender” single person restrooms.

Terrible store. Poor management, bad working environment, and a bad company that has its employees give each other good reviews. When you walk in you are met by clutter. Trip and slip hazards are everywhere. Fire exits are blocked usually in the warehouse. Out of stock on many items and many others are stocked in the wrong places. Employees have been heard using profanity in front of customers. They stand around in groups gossiping. Don't work here and unless you enjoy buying items made by foreign labor that are cheap and don't last, you are better off going somewhere else to do business. I have enjoyed shopping at Dollar General. Everything was so nice and organized and I had no trouble finding what I needed. However, it's starting to get messy looking and unorganized. Things get knocked down on the floor and stay there. I'm very happy to be able to shop there, but I wish it could be tidy like when it was first opened. That shouldn't...
