Rock may not carry all of the top 6 lineups of bows but you can buy a Hoyt, Bowtech, PSE or Matthew's at any of the big national chain stores and get their version of custom bow setup and customer service. His selections of Elite, PRIME, and Quest blows offer the best performance and warranty options. Even if you have another brand piece of equipment, he'll still work on setting up a bow, any sight, arrow design, release or other accessory to fit your needs and abilities. Prices are set by manufacturers and the bowshops have to make enough money to stay in business so complaints about prices of cables, strings, arrows or anything along those lines is just barking up the wrong tree. When it comes to products used for hunting and precision shooting, you get what you pay for and if you're hunting, you owe it to your quarry to be ethical, efficient and proficient in your equipment and pursuit. I took my parker crossbow to them to put a new string on, which I purchased myself. I got the part number from parkers website and was at my door in two days. Rock said that I should replace cables also I said ok thinking since he sells parker crossbows I would get the same brand parts. Five days later no parts yet, eight days no parts yet, so I said I was coming to get my bow to hunt that weekend. He says I have to pay for the cables I don't have yet, didn't argue about it because I needed my bow... until I got there and got a bill for three times what I can get them for. Now I am really upset especially when I asked how much it would be to install string and cables when he gets them, it was two times as much as other shops I called. Then four days later he gets parts in and to my surprise the cables were not even parkers recommended cables. When I asked he said these were what he uses. Then with an attitude he asked if I was installing them or him I said no I was on my way to bass pro to have cables installed and pickup my new crossbow. ...

I want to take the opportunity to share my experience buying a new bow from Rock Solid Archery. In July 2017 I researched Elite bows and found Rock’s archery shop to be pretty local so I paid them a visit.
