LENGTHY REVIEW: My sister and I found this place online and was instantly attracted to it because it looked really nice and different from your regular nail salon. We booked an appointment online and they have a very different way of booking appointments, you have to list EVERYTHING YOU WANT DONE which honestly I would think when you have a pedicure done, taking off the old polish is something that goes without saying, but okay. My sister wanted a pedicure with the French polish so when I made the appointment I would have had to list it as pedicure with a French upgrade and gel polish removal since she already had gel polish previously. Granted, it was absolutely my fault for not adding those two things, we were new clients and had no idea we had to list those items for it to be included in a pedicure. They also have a very strict cancellation / add on policy which is listed in their website. With that being said, when my sister arrived and explained that she did not add the gel removal and the French upgrade, the hostess was very rude about their policy. They all had the mindset of " we have other clients after you and we cant make them wait because of you" in other words they are strict to sticking with your appointment times. Here's where my frustration is, they all kept mentioning not having their next clients wait but THEY STARTED ON MY SISTERS PEDICURE 30 MIN PAST HER APPOINTMENT!!!! On top of that the technician said she has two options, either spend time removing the gel polish and doesn't get the rest of the pedicure which was the hot towels and the massage, etc OR she leaves her old polish on and gets the massage and hot towels.......WHAT IN THE WORLD IS THAT!!!! As a business owner myself, I would have never treated first time customers that way. I know we messed up the appointment, we take credit for that but it is the principal of how we were treated and how the emphasis was on not making the other clients wait when she was 30 min late for my sisters appointment. My sister walked out of there with her old polish on her toes and a poor pedicure done to her feet. My pedicure was also very poor, my toenail was cut crooked and the massage on my feet was 5 min tops. I spent $60 for a very very bad experience. We will not be returning to...
Read moreSouthern chic nails was a nail salon I have been longing to experience! The atmosphere seems beautiful and very relaxing. In fact, I decided to treat myself for my birthday and booked myself an appointment. They have a very strict policy on being tardy and picking exactly EVERYTHING you would need for your service. I booked a dip manicure and also added on a “chrome add-on”. My appointment was scheduled for 4:30. I arrived at 4:37 and was greeted by one of the workers ( I didn’t catch her name) She explained to me that she couldn’t proceed with my appointment because I didn’t add “dip removal “ . She was understanding to the fact that it was a genuine mistake and offered to book me for the next day which we both agreed on. Everything was ok until the owner of the salon came to the front and told me I would be charged for being late ( policy says MORE than 7 minutes late, I arrived 4:37) and also because I didn’t add dip removal. She offered to do other services (which i declined because that’s not what i had initially came in for) I understand this was my fault by all means but as a first time customer this can be honestly missed by any new client. To be honest, my disappointment was not much the cancellation of my services but more so the aggressive tone of the manger. She kept cutting me off whenever I tried to explain that it was an honest mistake on my part. She was very loud and aggressive that I literally broke down in tears. She offered to take me in the next day for full charge and also charge me half of my services for the missed appointment but the vibe at this point was so disappointing, I didn’t feel it would be such a pleasant experience as I would have hoped for. I am also very pregnant and I didn’t want to have another negative experience. The experience I had at this salon was very disappointing and truly takes away from all the expectations that is promoted online. I walked out with a $65 charge and no services. This is truly not the attitude that a business owner should portray to clients. It was very disappointing and...
Read moreKatrina was very kind. However, a few things were negatives for me -I showed an inspo picture, they do not tell you you are charged for doing that. It wasnt anything spectacular just a pink/white ombre style. I understand upcharges HOWEVER I did not even end up getting that style i came in for because Katrina said she had never done it with gel x. If you knew you could only do my style with acrylic why wouldnt you recommend that before proceeding with a nail type you couldnt do it with???
-confused how i was charged $10 for nail art if anything i should not have been charged since my time was waisted on what she could not do anyway. I got chrome spur of the moment and I was not told there was an upcharge ever . Which again should have been courtesy
-another stylist, Gabby I believe was very passive aggressive with my stylist and was talking about going home and not being able to afford car insurance the whole thing was uncomfortable to witness and unprofessional.
-The pedicure was not as comfy as regular nail salons since it was just a small bowl of water. Cute but honestly not worth it. The table to hold my feet was also very wobbly the pedicure turned out fine and so did my nails it just was not what i initially wanted
Its a cute place and thats it. Im disappointed I spent $162 and it wasnt worth the hype. I wouldnt come back even with a promotion as nice as Katrina was
**they responded saying i changed my style for ease but no I changed it because Katrina was simply having a hard time doing what I wanted for...
