In one of the most stressful few day periods of my college life, both my laptop and I got sick. I took the computer by this store, firstly because it was within walking distance of the campus, but also because it was a good deal cheaper than other major computer fix-it location in Hattiesburg. I dropped it off with no problem at all and was able to go along my way. Later that day, I was told that a complete system format was needed, at which point I was offered a discount on a file back up that I gladly took. Less than 24 hours later, I received the call that the work was done and I was able to walk back to the store, pick up the laptop, purchase a new Kapersky anti-virus from them as an ounce of prevention, and be back on my way well before my next class.
The true reason I'm recommending this store, however, is because when I received my laptop, I initially saw it having many of the same problems as it did when I took it to the store. Having a slight panic attack, I called the store back to ask what the deal was. An employee politely said for me to come back by the store and they'd take a look again to see what was up. At this point, I put my phone down and walked away for about 5-10 mins.
When I came back, I had 2 missed calls, both from the store. I quickly called them back and was put in touch win another employee who calmly and professionally walked me through what he believed was going on in great detail. Any question I had was answered in way I could understand. The computer was still not even booting up at this point, but he assured me that it was likely just an issue with updates coming through in mass after the hard drive formatting. He also said that if by any chance it was something that they missed in their work before hand that they'd fix it at a discount. Put somewhat at ease, I had to hang up and leave for my last class with the plan that I'd take the computer by there again the next day.
Well, the next day is here and I can happily say that I will not need to take it by there as the man I spoke with was spot on in his diagnosis without even having the laptop in front of him to see. I have been using it since getting back from class last night and have not experienced any of the issues that caused me to take it to them.

Had already had battery tested day before by Apple Support and said good but, I disagreed, etc., so Apple Support made an appt. for me at Computer Max for a battery replacement. Took off work, drove to Computer Max. They had difficulty finding the appt. and info. from Apple Support. Computer Max tested battery again and said it would be $89 to change the battery since it tested good. I pointed out that was not what Apple Support had told me, etc., and I wasn't paying that when I purchased extended warranty and Apple said it would be replaced free of charge and made the appt. with them for them to do it. I left, went back home and and checked the case on Apple Support. It showed that my appt. had been cancelled because I did not show up. (Imagine that.) I called Apple Support again (or, rather, had them call me). They were baffled by my experience at Computer Max and said they were supposed to have changed the battery. The Support Person called Computer Max and got a slightly different story ($62.00 plus tax rather than the $89 I had been told). Not sure how it went down but Apple Support then recommended I go somewhere else. And, I will. Anywhere but Computer Max. I was so relieved I could drive 38 miles to Computer Max in Hattiesburg and I didn't have to drive 82 miles to Ridgeland to the nearest Apple Store. From the moment they answered the phone, the Customer Support Team was efficient. Apple had made my appointment, but I was in Hattiesburg earlier and Computer Max readily offered an option for me to come on in as a "Walk In" customer. I went in and waited less than three minutes when they called on me and took my information. I was called within one day with a diagnosis of the apparent problem. They didn't even charge me for the diagnostic evaluation. They took my approval over the phone and fixed my computer and it was ready in two days. I am well pleased and it is working perfectly. I am excited to know Apple has a certified dealer close by that they will stand behind. Apple is so particular and consistent with their quality in products and service, so I knew that Computer Max would have to live up to their A+ quality and Customer Service. And they definitely did.
