My 10 year old 4th gen i5 custom built Windows10 desktop computer with 8gigs of DDR3 ram, a Corsair cooler with two fans joined together, 256g SSD, and GEForce GT 730 graphics card, reached the end of its life ... the power supply crapped out and some of the fans were working intermittently and were noisy, and some USB ports were no longer working and the fan speed controller switch wasn't working. I opted to upgrade to current generation devices using my same box. Rick installed an MSI z790p-pro motherboard, SP 1TB SSD drive, 16gigs of g-skill ripjaws DDR4 3200 ram, a 12th gen i5-12600KF Alder Lake 10 core cpu, Corsair 650 watt power supply, Corsair lH115i elite liquid cooler with two fans, a Sapphire RX550 video card for light gaming and two Antec 120mm fans for the box. We discussed my needs and he built a machine that exceeds my needs and is a big upgrade from my older set up. He kept in touch along the way to suggest various options, and how to keep the build within my budget without skimping on anything. I'm now the very happy owner of a much faster machine that is as quiet as a mouse and the Corsair cooler keeps the i5 nice and cool.
