Unacceptable service with store employee endangering children. Today, I witnessed a store employee forcefully grabbing a toddler, screaming at him and telling him to run out to the parking lot. While the child was running around the store and being quite loud, you do not tell a child to endanger themselves by advising them to run outside in a parking lot or potentially, into the road. Furthermore, you do not grab another parent’s child and verbally accost them. I did share my concerns with the parents but I may also report this incident to the appropriate authorities. Clearly, the employee had lost her temper but that is not an acceptable excuse for her to advise harmful actions to a child without talking with the parents first. The employee was an older white woman, with a slight build. I reiterate how dangerous her actions were and would advise parents with children to avoid this shop. Unless this employee is discharged, I will share this observation widely on social media so others are aware and careful.
Of note, I was not especially impressed with the merchandise. The flora and decorative vegetation may be painstaking creations but the prices were unusually high, even by...
Read moreThis business is just amazing! I was visiting the Big Island with my husband and we were trying to see all that we could see in the short period of time that we were here. My sister-in-law HIGHLY recommended this place and begged me to stop by and purchase an item for her and have it shipped. She even offered to buy me something! We were pressed for time and literally walked through the doors 1 MINUTE before they closed. The staff was SO nice and very accomodating. They told me not to rush and to take my time picking out my items. I was like a little kid in a candy store. Walking all throughout the warehouse, looking at every plant. Being here really brought to the surface my love and passion for horticulture. I managed to make my selections and get out of there just before 3:30p. I apologized for keeping them late but they were just so helpful and kind and told me not to worry. I would HIGHLY recommend this place to anyone, plant lover or not. It was very neat, organized and spacious inside the warehouse. I am SO thankful that my sister-in-law suggested going here and that we were able to...
Read moreWhat a lovely place to stop for an hour or so. Gardeners and flower lovers will really appreciate the phenomenal orchid varieties and displays. My husband is not necessarily a tree hugger, but he genuinely enjoyed it. Young children may not appreciate the floral displays, but if they are well behaved and enjoy learning, it will provide a great educational opportunity. Just give them some special attention to learn to appreciate nature’s beauty. There is an area for eating, but I cannot attest to the food. It was a rainy day, and they have a great faux ceiling here. It lets in rain like a mist or or even less. We never got wet or damp. The gift shop has unique items I’ve not seen at t he other tourist stops. Their prices are fair also. If interested oh may order and ship orchids right there. Staff appears to be very helpful. For $10.00 you can purchase a small plant already sealed and ready passed agricultural inspectionsof traveling to the mainland. I am glad we...
