Our time on Ohana Ranch on the Big Island was a true highlight of our trip! We booked the ATV tour last minute and during an off season. Yet, the staff on the Ranch personalized our tour so beautifully! We got to explore the property, taste the freshest hand picked guavas and berries, feed and pet the goats, plant our own tea trees in a new growth area, and see so many free range animals including wild boars, horses, sheep, and cattle. It was my wife’s first time driving an ATV; she was so nervous, but the staff (thank you, Mike!) were so patient with her and helped her get the hang of it quickly! Riding the ATVs was such a liberating feeling. In addition, learning about the history of the ranch and a bit about Hawaiian culture was important to us. We learned that by booking this tour/on this ranch, we were supporting native Hawaiians like Kanoe, who was such a sweetheart. They also took a lot of pictures and videos of us and sent them to us at the end of the experience. We wholeheartedly recommend this tour to others, and we plan to come back next year for the ATV tour and other experiences at the ranch including horseback riding and a cultural/cooking experience.

Totally 5 stars for this farm. We had such an amazing time here at the Ohana ranch. We got to see and feed baby goats as well as pet their horse, sheep, cats and dogs. The views are amazing. We got to see maunakea, as well as the ocean while hanging out with the animals. It is super peaceful and calming. We are so stoked for the future plans that these people have for their farm. We love that they want to teach about sustainable farming and agriculture as well as give back to their community. I’m stoked to come back because they also offer educational experiences as well as horse back trail rides. Stoked to see the progress that they will make in the future. We are super stoked about the food forest that is to come as well. They are all about food security and giving back to their people and we are stoked for that. Highly recommend visiting and checking to see what they are all about.

We had a mix up with the Viator app. We needed to book 16 people and the telephone operator that I was talking to did not confirm the booking; therefore, the tour operators were not aware of the 16 people. Regardless of the mix up, Robert and the team were AMAZING. They helped me talk to the telephone operators prior to our tour when we arrived. They were patient, kind, and generous. They were still able to accommodate us and with a great tour. They helped us situate the issue with the Viator app. The tour was roughly 2 hours. Robert was able to find us guavas to try, introduced us to the ranch dogs, told us stories about the island. We were all thoroughly impressed and loved this part of the trip. You can tell they care and respect their land, which enhanced the experience. I would definitely come back for this every time I come to the Big Island.

Second time with these guys. Awesome to see the project and tour grow. The cultural center has grown also. My Kalo I planted is getting bigger and they have an imu there. Got more knowledge from my guide Robert. This time there was more mud so the path was even more fun. I used the UTV/ side-by-side/ or as I call it the off-road golf cart. The coffee grow is in full swing. Didn't know what a coffee plant looked like or the process to get it into the cup. I was lucky enough to be there when they were roasting coffee in the office. Very cool process. Like a science project. A lot of art too. I was fortunate they still had bags of coffee to sell as I was on a later tour. My wife says it's very coffee forward for you coffee drinkers out there. All in all another great experience with the guys over at Ohana Ranch. I hear they are coming up with more experiences. We are from Hawaii so we passed on the lei making, but I saw some ladies doing it and they were having a blast when they found out they had to use their toes. Lol....
