This was a highlight in our honeymoon! Beautiful waterfall hidden from view & no crowd. We parked by the area next to the bridge for free without issue & arrived on a non-busy Friday morning. It's a short but rugged hike to get to the swimming hole. This isn't a place to bring beach chairs or heavy gear. Transport only the essentials because you need both hands to climb down the muddy, steep slope to reach the waterfall. The shore was rocky & the water was COLD but we were hot/sweaty from the hike, so it was refreshing. There are NO bathrooms, showers or changing rooms. Obviously assess the water levels & don't swim if there are flash floods.
We saw some young adults/tourists jumping off the rocks by the waterfall, which was dangerous & reckless considering that immediate aid was nowhere nearby. Prioritize your safety especially on vacation!
We picked up any trash we came across on the way back so please be respectful of the land, leave nothing behind & clean up after your...
Read moreThe waterfall is absolutely amazing but to properly see it you will need to take the short trail up to it. Much better experience than rainbow falls since you can actually stand at the waterfall. There is an amazing pond underneath where people were swimming, and other waterfalls nearby to explore as you hike.
Only thing to note is that the trail is not well maintained and so you walk through pretty dense undergrowth, which I personally found kind of fun.
As other reviews say, the view from the bridge is not amazing and seems to depend on the water level... Still, anyone who gives it less than 5 stars has messed up standards or doesn't...
Read moreThis is NOT the trailhead; it is a private, narrow road with nowhere to turn around except for the driveways of the residents, who don't particularly like lost people driving up there. The correct location is next to a bridge overlooking the falls, with a relatively small area in which to park on either side of the road. It is also NOT reached by walking around the bridge railing and climbing down; that will probably get you killed. It is 10 to 20 ft back from the bridge: a narrow, somewhat hidden path, just a parting in the foliage with a sign that says no diving, jumping etc. Good luck, may the odds be ever...
