A couple nights ago my 5-year-old daughter sustained a deep cut on the inside of her lip. I decided I wanted a doctor to look at it to see if it needed stitches. One the way to Haxtun, I called the hospital to let them know we were on our way. Sierra, the nurse on staff took our information over the phone. Sierra and Gabbi were in the ER waiting for us, eager to make my daughter as comfortable as possible. As you can imagine, she was pretty scared being brought in in the first place. Sierra kindly asked to look in my daughter’s mouth to view the wound, she was too scared to oblige so Sierra pivoted and talked my daughter through all the vitals she was going to be checking and offered to get her a popsicle which instantly calmed her down and was a great distraction. Shortly thereafter, Dion stepped in as it was shift change and he did such a great job of asking her questions and distracting her with some goofiness which I appreciated as a mother. Shortly afterward, Dr. Rand came into the ER for the evaluation, and she too was very kind and gentle. She was able to get a good view of the wound and assured us that she wouldn’t be getting stitches today to our relief. I am so glad for the kind and compassionate care we received at the Haxtun Health ER. Everyone acted quickly and calmly. They did everything in their power to ensure my daughter was comfortable and safe. We are very thankful to have such a great team in our community.    Read moreI've been going to Haxtun health for a while now. I had a bill that went bad for to no fault of my own, and was sent to collections. Ive had problem after problem getting the opportunity to pay my bill. After dealing with collections, i called their billing department and spoke with Deb. She was extremely unprofessional, tried multiple times to speak over me, as well as hanging up on me after not liking what I had to say. She stayed that their online site for paying bills was down and not working which is untrue, it never worked and I'm sure there was no notification to patients sent out. I had good knowledgeable service with a few of the providers there, as well as them having great nursing staff. The clinic people are usually nice and cordial, but after all is said and done when the billing happens, they fall short. There is no reason for people to be treated as if they are a nuisance when the patient has tried to pay their bill. I know i could have went inside to pay the bill but it's not easy to load 3 kids up in a car just to pay a bill when they advertise multiple methods of payment. Online, by phone.. just bad business. I'll be taking most of if not all of my service to Holyoke. Giving a 3-Star review as the hospital staff...
   Read moreI live just a short walk from this hospital, and over the past 50 years they've treated me for things as minor as a case of chickenpox to something as serious as getting stabbed in the arm with a carving fork.
I trust them, depend on them, and I'm very grateful they've been there for me when I've needed them.
