Parts House Plus — Local services in Haynesville

I wrote my initial review of this parts store a couple years back. I grew up going to this store. Since my first review, a new owner has purchased it from the now-retired owner. This new owner is super helpful and wants the business to grow. Pricing is very competitive, even against low overhead online-only parts suppliers. Service is still friendly and polite. The store has been reorganized and is a lot easier to move around in now too. This isn't just a parts counter. It's a real parts store.

People don't realize how much they miss locally-owned businesses until they're gone. When any small town loses their last parts store, man that's the end of that little town. I am so thankful this new owner has picked up the torch and chosen to invest in us instead of just watching one of the few remaining locally-owned businesses simply close for good. The fact that he is constantly improving and reinvesting in his store to improve the service that it provides to his community is truly priceless.

Original review: Some of my friends needed an axle hub for a trailer. On a Saturday afternoon. The hub was a 5 on 5" bolt Circle, and 5 on 4.5" is standard. A dozen other places in the area did not have the right hub. They only had the 4.5" hubs. I called this local parts store owner to see if he thought he had one I could pick up during business hours. The owner offered to and then opened the store up for us at 2PM on a Saturday to check, and sure enough they had the right hub kit. The store closes at 12PM on Saturdays. Really the owner went out of his way to help out. And they had the parts needed, when no one else did. There's nothing like the personal touch of locally...
