Very Bad Business!!!
The worst experiences I've ever had with a retail store!!! Toxic owner, employees were completely disrespectful and lack of knowledge. Not only this but their formula for buying is using deception. They told me my things were worth pennies on the dollar when they were worth a lot more. Not realizing I'm in the same business and have more knowledge than the kids that work for him. I love to help good people and supply mom and pop shops but I've never been so disrespected by a business and establishment, also not only being taken advantage of and low balled but the way I was treated and the energy I left with was horrible and ruined my day. This is a money hungry business and his system it's only for their advantage not yours. Also I am not a fan of thievery and I had to come back to the store a couple times to get merchandise that was not returned to me because it was still in the back office. Complete abuse harassment, taking advantage of and this owner is a narcissist. He thinks he banned me but there was no way I was ever walking into that location ever again. I don't tolerate abuse bullying or taking advantage of people.
This is a money hungry business, of course they're looking for the gold from video games to pokémon cards.
Very very bad business!!! I'm a firm believer in truth and helping others and sharing is caring.
Shame on you
Never Again
P.S. I definitely did not harass your customers, that is not who I am. You need to watch out with your accusations. I called your store one day I asked to talk to you because I had a great opportunity for you and your employee was being sketchy, dishonest and wouldn't even go out of the way to put the owner and manager on the phone because it's easier to deal with a manager when you have a big opportunity And you're trying to make it easy and be helpful. And then you call me 5 minutes later after he told me you weren't even...
Read moreCame in early on a Saturday morning in search of Jumbo pokemon cards and bulk pokemon cards and they had plenty to make my kiddos happy. They had some priced high, but lots prices low enough to get them really excited and they had bulk boxes galore. They have enough bulk boxes that my three kids got burnt out looking through them! There were three employees working when I got there and they were all very friendly and accommodating of my three young children. My kids wanted to spend their own money and the employees didn't have a problem ringing up multiple small transactions for each of the kids. They also pointed out they have a big league of pokemon tournaments and that they are very beginner friendly, so maybe we'll try that out sometime.
I brought in an sealed pokemon starter deck box from when I was a kid and they offered me a fair price. (Roughly half what ebay had it for), but this is really reasonable because you get cash in hand (or a little more if you do store credit), and you don't have to go through the hassle of listing it on ebay, then shipping it, then worrying about a scammer saying it didn't arrive or that it was damaged or something. It felt like a very fair deal to me. They said they are planning to expand some for more table room, so I'm excited to see the future of the store! Oh and they also had a loyalty program where you earn credits on each purchase towards your...
Read moreI’d like to say I truly support small businesses and do my best to put my money where my mouth is. I spent money to support the store, but when offering to buy some games from another patron I was met with a very hostile response. Ironically the cash spent was used to pay out the other patron. While I appreciate the employees not wanting to deal with conflicts of interest, I was genuinely taken aback that there was a lack of consideration for the patron’s situation. I mean the man had two kids and I was offering to buy the games for more than the store would offer. In the current state of the economy caring more about your business than your customer’s well being is a terrible look. When people aren’t hard pressed for cash, those are the things they will remember. Maybe ownership should re-evaluate their values (or employees) if they truly cared. A solid explanation could rectify my position and in turn affect this review, but I don’t know how doing what’s best for people has taken a back seat to profits.
**Making presumptions and backhanded comments as a reply doesn’t make it any better. The first part of my review should have been enough to inference I was intending on paying full retail as it would have been a personal purchase. Lacking the tact in assuming I don’t own/operate businesses where I pay MORE than livable wages is...
