The store is always a pleasant stop, was hoping the restaurant was as well. Here's to hope. Once in the restaurant, we waited for a bit for service, only one waitress was handling the entire restaurant. I was considering the salad bar, checked out the selection of salad toppings and soup options before our server waited on us. I should note, the soup options are listed on cards on top of the salad bar. One selection listed was DW's delicious cheeseburger soup. That was the deciding factor for my choice of a trip to the salad bar. I got my salad first. It was average, nothing special but, I knew that ahead of time. I went back for my soup, lifted the lid to scoop some in a bowl and noticed there wasn't any hamburger in the soup. I went to the other side which read Italian Wedding soup. Thinking the signs were switched, I opened that lid. I'm not sure what that soup was, but definitely not either listed choice. I called the waitress over to ask where the cheeseburger soup was. She grabbed both signs above the bar and said they were from yesterday. How disappointing. I chose the salad bar for the soup selection listed, didn't like the two choices that were really in the pots. After I addressed this with the waitress she graciously adjusted our bill for the error, but how sad to leave a restaurant still hungry. The man behind us ordered only pot pie, had to send it back, as it was cold. One other note, the kitchen staff should be aware that patrons seated near the salad bar and at the counter can hear their conversations and language used. I'm giving two stars because the waitress was very kind and working very hard. Who has only one waitress on staff...
Read moreFoyer has really gone downhill and so has the customer service overall. Used to shop here multiple times a week. Had a horrible expierence at the deli a few weeks back where I was ignored while waiting patiently and other customers who were there AFTER me were serviced. The woman who works at the foyer is always in a bad mood and the "christ like manner" is forgotten, the older woman who works there sometimes clearly despises working in the foyer and her attitude reflects that, she refuses to speak to the customer directly. Foyer fried chicken is often sitting untouched under heat lamp for several hours so by the time you come for lunch its no longer fresh, and you can taste it. The pretzel dough is fresh made but they can't seem to bake them correctly. No golden color on top, top of the pretzel white and uncooked, while the bottoms are always burnt black! It's a good indicator they need to turn the heat down and bake for a little longer. It would be nice if the side dishes changed from time to time, even weekly but it never changes. Mac n cheese, corn, other locations sometimes have broccoli and other options. There's been plenty times when the foyer bar is empty at 11:30am. There has been a lack consistentcy & quality has...
Read moreThis is the second time I’ve been to Dutch Way. The first time was in gap Pennsylvania. I went to go get lunch meat, but they pre-cut their lunch meat, which to me dries out because the lunch meat was dry and I never went back well Shavertown, I work just north of there nowso I decided to give it a shot. The prices were good places clean, but they still partially pre-cut their lunch Wednesday for the specials and sales otherwise it was pretty good. I’ll go back again. I just won’t be buying...
