It was really just OK. It was fun because I was with friends, but some of the attractions were a disappointment. The two best by far were The Haunted Mill and the Terror Trail, all the others were meh. They are really the reason this is getting three stars and not lower. It seems like a few of the attractions are plagued by the same issue, not enough monsters. The lack of spooks was really prevalent in the Horror of Mengus Mills and Kimâs Krazy Maze. In some areas such as, The Horror of Mengus Mills, there was a real reliance on air canons for cheap scares. At one point during the Horror of Mengus Mills, you get blasted three times with only a few feet apart. Not to mention, some of the monsters just seemed fed up, and gave us a lackluster whine of âget outâ. Then others didnât jump out at all, as I could see their shoes where they were hiding. Maybe this is why scares seemed sparse in some areas?
If I had to pick the worst attraction, it would be Kimâs Krazy Maze. We wait in a line for what seems like foreverâwhich isnât their fault. Staff try to space out groups so that they donât run up on each other, and explain the rules for the certain attraction. This I do think is a positive, because dense people need reminded of how they are expected to conduct themselves. So we finally get to be the next one in line, and the ticket taker is in a cool poke dotted suit, sitting in a poke dotted room. She takes our ticket, and goes over the rules, and explains that other attractions have a few clowns, and the maze is FULL of them. Not sure if she ever walked the maze, but seriously, there were maybe six. The one thing that was cool was there is a small maze portion, and you had to feel your way around in the darkâthat was fun. But, back to the lady, so as we wait the small talk ensuesâwhich was fine. What isnât fine is when she asks where we work, we tell her, and then she continues to berate us on a âbad experienceâ she had while there. First lady, we all came off of a ten+ hour shift, and came here to have fun and relax. Secondly, what gives her the right to treat patrons this way? Even though we were all silent, and obviously uncomfortable, she continued until we entered. We came to Kimâs Krypt to have fun and unwind, not get wound up by someoneâs negative comments.
Overall, it was a fun night. Almost all the staff were kind, and not afraid to interact with the guest positively (that obviously doesnât go for the Kimâs Krazy Maze ticket taker). Maybe we just hit Kimâs Krypt on an off night? If you decide to go, like I said earlier, you will not be disappointed with the Haunted Mill. Especially near the end when you hit the tube (youâll see what I mean). The guy who did that section shirtless and bloody, was the best scare there. Would I come back in the future? Probably. Would I rush to...
Read moreEDIT: DONT TRUST THIS PLACES FACEBOOK REVIEWS, I LEFT A WAY MORE DETAILED REVIEW THERE AND THEY HAD IT TAKEN DOWN LIKE THEY DO ALL THE OTHER NEGATIVE REVIEWS. THATS HOW THEY HAVE A MAGIC â96% RECOMMENDâ WEIRD HOW THERE ISNT A SINGLE BAD REVIEW ON THEREâŚâŚ.
The reviews of this place must be either bought, from years past or from employees/friends/family because this place was so utterly disappointing. As someone who has been to over 120 haunted attractions across the US, this place is insanely overpriced, out of touch, dated and just an overall disappointing experience. $60 is insane to walk through plywood rooms with dusty mannequins and outdated animatronics. The scares are generic and basic- predictable jump scares. If you want a throwback to the 90s haunts, this is the place for you. You can get a similar, just shorter experience for free by visiting your local Spirit of Halloween store.
This was apart of my extensive review below that I left on Facebook that they took down under their reviews, I would put the whole thing but google only allows so many charactersâŚ

Background: Im not from the area, I drove 3 hours to Lancaster for haunts. Throughout my life I have visited 120+ haunted attractions across the US, worked at haunts and owned a small haunt myself. Earlier in the night I had visited FOS (Field Of Screams) about 40 mins down the road and KK (Kims Krypt) was my second haunt of the night. I decided on this haunt from random reviews found online.
My Rating: 1/10
Conclusion: My reviews are completely honest, I have no ties to this haunt or prior history with this haunt or haunts in the area, this review is strictly my personal experience from my first ever visit. Im not trying to compare it to FOS (Field of Screams) 40 mins down the road but I did do both in the same night. I also learned that both haunts have been open roughly the same amount of years (around 30ish years in business). The only difference is one of them has 1000+ cars in their parking lot, thousands of visitors and a beautifully done haunt and one of them has a brutally empty parking lot, higher prices and a dusty collection of old props on display. One put the effort in keeping up with the times and one didnât. Its honestly probably the price that irritates me the most about Kim Krypt, $60 is just insane for the quality that it was. The reviews found of google and other online sources are either from years past, friends/family/employees or just fake because 2025 Kim Krypt deserves an honest 1/5 stars. That $60 must be going to the electric bill and maintenance for the 1000+ dated animatronics or something. It was a one and done for me. In conclusion, this place is needs...
Read moreMy 11 year old daughter begged me to do a haunted attraction this year. It was her first time experiencing something like this and we loved it. I thought of Kimâs Krypt because I had been to some of the attractions there back in 2018 and I really enjoyed the Haunted Mill and Terror Trail. I checked ticket prices online and decided to spend the extra money on the all access RIP pass. I highly recommend that option if youâre able to afford it. A few things that make the RIP pass worth the $$ is besides skipping to the front of the line you also get a t-shirt and water bottle from the gift shop along with a ticket for a meal from Kimâs Canteen. Thereâs also VIP (aka RIP haha) parking. It was Saturday night and super busy so I think this was well worth the money. Waiting lines were really starting to get packed with waits 1-2 hours long versus less than 5-10 minutes with the RIP pass.
My daughter and I were able to get through all 5 attractions in good amount of time with the RIP passes so we decided to back through 2 attractions a second time. We had an awesome time so thereâs no way Iâm giving this anything but 5 stars. We are already planning to come back!
The only things that maybe need some feedback was that in the House of Eyes we dealt with a spook that got a little too over zealous in the one room. She was perpetually screaming which is fine but she ran at our backs and leaned on our backs while screaming into our ears. My daughter and I were alone and not with a big group. I actually had to turn around and say âOkay thatâs enough!â Because it was a little too over the top to have a person leaning on you and screaming into your ears. All the other actors were super respectful and interactions were a lot of fun. This was a minor issue/incident in my view and not worth downgrading the review stats at all.
I definitely prefer Kimâs Krypt over Field of Screams too. The last time I did FOS with a friend back in 2017 the actors were way too touchy feely. The one walk through we had a few actors that would grind themselves against us or would block entrances and exits in such a way that we were forced to brush up against them. On the hayride specifically an actor jumped on the side of the cart directly behind me and proceeded to rub his sweaty chest against the back of my head. I was absolutely disgusted. Iâm not interested in going back after that.
Anyway! Kimâs Krypt is stellar. Definitely check it out. I highly recommend the RIP pass. Also, very cool that the owner Kim is usually highly visible and on site somewhere wandering around. I love that! She was driving a hearse around for a bit while we were there and she was interacting with the crowd...
