So an experience that could have been great, was rather marginally good at best. First I suggest you take your own broom, they do not sweep the pavilon, so there was food and mud and dirt on the floor when we arrived for a birthday party, and it looked like a shovel full of red clay dirt right next to the food table. The website says you get 30 minutes after the party to clean up, that didn't happen, party ended at 3:30, so we should have been ok until 4:00, but at 3:35 they started immediately pulling off the tablecloths and putting our buns and things that were left on another table, by 3:45 it was completely set up for the next party. The tablecloths were dirty, and had obviously been used before us, there was food spots on them, and they actually folded the tablecloths up again when we left, so I guess they use the tablecloths 3 times before they are laundered, which is extremely tacky! Although the website mentions that all of the animals have names and there own personalities, you would have never known, the girl that was in charge of guarding the animal pen, never spoke to any of the children or adults, it would have been nice had she told the kids some of their names, or something unique about them, and the kids are only allowed to pet animals through a fence, very limited interaction. There was some sort of tic-tac-toe game in the pavilion, but none of the pieces were there. A little attention could really make this a nice experience. At the Barnyard in Northport, the workers assisted the children with all interactions with the animals, which was...
Read morePlenty of fun for the kids if you have an unlimited amount of money. You pay 17.50 for adults and children to get in, they would only do a military discount on my husband's ticket though he was paying for the whole thing. Once you pay to get in, you have to pay more for some of the rides and activities. No water fountains, and waters and drinks were 2-6 each. Highly recommend bringing your own food/drink. No staff to run the activities. There were kids(some with no parents) and parents all over the the course so children couldn't properly run it. There weren't enough Frisbees for more than one family to play disc golf at a time. Way under staffed for the size of the event and way overpriced, 10 dollars for each activity per child for what the bracelet band does not cover. When I was getting off the hay ride, my foot fell through the floor of the trailer because the wood was rotten. They also have signs posted everywhere stating they are not responsible for injury, sickness, ect from the activities they provide but don't have anyone out there to control activities nor do they make you sign anything entering the event or warn you of anything before you pay. The only thing decently priced were the $4 pumpkins. And I hope they don't try to comment some bull to my review, I've seen the responses to other reviews and they are pretty rude, and that made me change my 3 star...
Read moreIf you don't have an SUV or truck after it rains, good luck. They are always Chuck full of vehicles in the parking areas. Keep an eye out for fire ant mounds when walking to and from the parking areas. Kids love this place. If more vendors could do business here and be able to park near the parking area it would be more accommodating for lunch time. Most of the vendors either run out of supplies or leave early. They are always having events here though so it is nice. They're doing very well for themselves and the area. Always a good thing. Also, make sure you drink and bring plenty of water and at least one Gatorade or Powerade during the hot days, someone passed out from not being prepared for the heat. Good thing also for medical emergencies, Helena PD is usually right outside the farm, and firetrucks can respond just as quick. Just be sure to check the weather before you come out so kids and...
