Easy to schedule and the repair was fast. Jessie was respectful of my home and worked quickly and efficiently. Unfortunately, the price was miscommunicated from the start. I was told it would be $100 per machine but it actually turned out to be $175 for the dryer alone. I have no problems paying for parts but it wasn't communicated clearly from the start.
Edit: Business response shows me that they don't understand that the issue is miscommunication. I am the client and if I am told one price on the day i make the appointment and am bombarded with another much higher price on the day of, I'm gonna be a bit surprised. I don't mind paying more if that's what it costs but it was not communicated to me. Imagine if I couldn't afford the surprise price. It would have been a waste of everyone's time for you to come to my home. ALSO, you didn't tell me the "new" price until you finished the work. That's not very fair. As for the $25 instead of $100 for the washer? You said you couldnt do anything aside from rubbing grout cleaner on the seal. You didnt fix it so thank you for not charging me $100.
Not how I do business so I just won't be a repeat customer. Especially with that response.
Edit #2: The owner reached out through text and apologized and offered a full refund. I told him to confirm pricing before starting work next time so future customers don't feel taken advantage of. I didn't accept the refund because he DID fix the dryer. I appreciate the apology and accountability for the miscommunication. Just like the owner of this business, I too work hard for my money and don't want to feel taken...
Read moreI had a Maytag Refrigerator that started leaking from Freezer less than a year after I bought it. Twice the extended warranty techs came and replaced a tube in the back....each time it leaked again after a couple days. They finally said nothing else we can do. I hired an independent tech who again came twice and kept replacing the same rear drain tube....only to let me know nothing can be done ($88.00 each visit) I was driving by Donovan's Appliances to see if they had a refrigerator because we were so tired of replacing towels in the bottom of the freezer each week. Jesse was curious why it couldn't be fixed and said he would look at it for free, if he can't fix it then I don't owe him anything. He came that afternoon, took apart back side of freezer and inside of freezer (none of the other techs did that!) Identified problem, had nothing to do with the drain tube I had replaced 4 times. I can't believe how thorough and knowledgeable he was compared to the other guys I had. So now, instead of buying a new refrigerator, we have one that is fixed. A few weeks ago, several appliances conked-out at the same time so I got over to Donavon's and immediately was surprised to find what I needed. Jesse provided me courteous and professional service; taking time to help me sort out all the necessary details; making me feel very comfortable with the items selected and confident in the quality of the product and service for my long-term needs.
Delivery happened in a timely manner and all were carefully installed by thoughtful and attendants who took the time to make sure everything was done proficiently and with care regarding the removal of all the old appliances and installation of the new ones. Nothing was done in a rush and I was very impressed and happy with the over-all quality of service.
