Franklin Canyon Golf Course — Local services in Hercules

If i could put no stars i deff would!! But anywho By far the WORST place ever! I would not recommend this place for golfing none the less for having an event here! This place is just a bunch of crap! They play games with you set appointments with you and never keep there word. Then they want to force you to use JCT productions just because of personal relationships with the owner. The food and general manager said we were able to book the venue without her services then the owner of JCT productions thru a big fit at them for supposedly going behind her back and renting out the venue without her so the general manager felt bad for her and just made the stupidest excuses and lies to me in order to not have me use the place for a wedding. His stupidest lie was ( we don't even have the venue available oct 15 2016 we have a huge tournament) when i had already spoke to the EVENT director and he said that there was no events going on that date and that it was fine for me to have the wedding that day! then food and beverage manager called and confirmed everything with me we were set to make a contract. But then the owner of JCT productions through her biggest fit at them because i didn't want her services. So since she is a woman of course they took her side. Wow. I’ve been using the Range and playing here since the pandemic. I have taken friends golfing here before and had a good time. Yesterday I brought a repeat friend and a new friend, totaling 3. First they charged me for 4 people and I had to catch it as they were calling us to the T. Took about 10 minutes to get me my refund, then the tall British guy began to verbally worry about us being fast enough, do we have enough clubs, are we good or not, super rude. We play best ball. Everyone hits the best ball lay and we pick up the other balls and keep moving. We were so fast we had to wait at every T box for the group in front of us to clear. At hole 11 a group of dudes began SCREAMING at us to hurry up. The group in front was still on the green par 3. Two of the dudes in the group got unhinged and continued to antagonize us.I said Isn’t this supposed to be a fun Saturday? We offered them to play through but of course there was the slower group in front of us so they had to play through them as well. And again we were waiting behind that group for the rest of the game. $71 with cart on Saturday. No way is the course worth the money. Pretty cool layout, but terrible conditions. The tee boxes are mostly dirt with some grass and hard as a rock. The fairways and rough are not well kept with a combination of grass, dirt, weeds and clovers. Grass around the greens is in poor condition as well. Bunkers hard as a rock, more like dirt.

The greens had just been punched. I’m guessing in perfect condition they would have been mediocre or maybe slightly above. Nowhere online or while checking into the pro shop were the punched greens mentioned. I feel like that should be made clear as day when booking. On top of that every golfer I saw was extremely bad and soooooo slow. 3 hour front nine 😭

Will never play that course again. I honestly think this golf course and management team should be embarrassed by the product given the price they are charging. Pretty gross. FYI I shot a solid round so it’s not course blaming…
