Im giving this place a 3 for their auto service and a 1 for their windshield service. Overall they get a generous 2 from me. I was visiting from out of town and needed a couple oil changes, one on an RV and one on my car. I also needed a new windshield because mine got cracked while traveling. I called an RV place and they recommended this place so I called.. They told me they didn't do windshields but had a guy who came to their shop (like a contractor) who could do it. I was happy because they got me in quickly, allowed us to wait, and really accommodated our schedule. However their windshield person removed my windshield and the new windshield didn't fit. (Unfortunately for me) this is the 4th time I've replaced my windshield and this is the 1st time the windshield didnt fit. There was nothing they would do to address the fact that I no longer had a drivable car. I had errands to run including driving 100 miles to replace my broken cell phone. So I was forced to shell out an extra $75 to rent a car. They did give me a ride to the rental car place which was nice. That is where their generosity ended. That didn't at all make up for the extra money I had to spend to rent a car. Further they nickel and dimed me for things like a windshield washer fluid refill. You would think the least they could do after breaking my car would be to complimentary top off my washer fluid ($1.74) or replace my headlight (15.99 BTW my regular mechanic charges me $9 for a headlight bulb) but did they? No. My car is old. I have driven it more than 100,000 miles, it has 240,000. I know my car and how it runs. It NEEDED an oil change. Despite me telling them it take 6 quarts, they didn't properly fill it. It ran horribly after I got it back. I had to add oil. I'm not actually convinced they changed the oil but it appears cleaner. They also had to charge my battery for some unknown reason (like they didnt take care of my car, left the lights on, left a door open, etc). They obviously saw that I was from out of state and gave me poor service. I would not go here unless you are local (maybe). Lesson learned.
Btw office manager person who responds to complaints/bad reviews, there is nothing you can do to address this unless you are willing to reimburse my rental car expense which the owner wasn't willing to do because as I mentioned im from out of town. I guess you saw me coming......
In response to the below comment. I am not an idiot. I know what car I drive. I've driven it for 7 years and would never tell anyone its an s60. Of course the windshields are different. So perhaps instead of suggesting im stupid and don't know what kind of car I drive, you should think again.
Further I did express concern about being forced to rent a car and the associated cost. The 'service advisor ' simply suggested my insurance may cover it. Like I have that sort of coverage on a 15 year old car worth less than $3,000. Even if i did, such a claim would drive up my rates actually making them more expensive than the rental. That's what happens when you use your insurance, your rates go up.
Anyone can say they did anything they want to but my car has been meticulously serviced. I happen to have a great mechanic who actually rebuilt my engine recently including putting in a new head gasket. The car runs impeccably with regular oil changes. It doesn't burn or leak oil though I don't trust it wasn't sabotaged in some way during its servicing here. When i got my car back it struggled to downshift from second to first and had a knock (what it does when the oil is bad or it doesn't have enough). I had to add oil. Period.
I was under my best behavior at the shop because my husband worked very hard to calm me down. How could anyone think I would be satisfied with a mechanic shop that left me without a car during basic service, left me to deal with the aftermath, and finally suggested that i am an idiot and dont know about my own vehicle or that i lied about it?
Why didn't I bring it up? I shouldn't...
Read moreIf I could give this business 0 stars, I would. Absolutely awful experience. Brought the car there because it was making an awful noise and suspected something was wrong with the belt, and told The Shop so. They said they would run a full diagnostic on the car and get back to us in 2-3 days. Over a week passed, with us calling once a day after the time frame they gave us only to get the same “we haven’t gotten a chance to look at it yet” response. When we finally got the car back, they simply told us nothing was wrong with the car, charged us, and sent us on our way, with the car still sounding and running terribly. Proceeded to take the car to another shop. As soon as they turned the car on, they recognized that it was the belt and quickly fixed it for us. Either The Shop is too incompetent to recognize a simple belt problem in a car, they did not check the belt, or they purposely told us there was nothing wrong with the car when there obviously was in hopes to extort more money out of us...
Read moreWell, they may very well be a great place to get your car worked on, but as far as buying a car from them? Maybe not so much (if they even really sell cars.)
I made an offer on a car listed on FB, care of their behalf. All this time I thought the offer was accepted and it was not until I was making final arrangements to pick up the car (4 hours away by bus) did I realize that, no, as a matter of fact, that was NOT the price.
All well and good you did not want to sell it - your car after all. However, Frankie knows that a SIMPLE EMAIL - through ALL of the correspondence I had with him - HE COULD have stated as such.
No, was not till the last email I sent (I sent - not initiated by him) till I found out that was not the case. No consideration given that I had to travel to get to him. Did he think I was going to fork over the difference since I was already there?!?
I will never learn - I should not be so...
