Mississippi Welcome Center — Local services in Hernando

Very clean restroom and very nice and helpful staff working inside. Great place to stop and stretch your legs, eat a snack you brought, or walk your fur babies! Mine enjoyed their walk around. Easy on and off from I-55. We stopped during the day, but if all those lights work outside, I can imagine it's lit up well in the evening. I believe they close the inside, and you access the restrooms between certain hours from side doors. Update: lights worked, well lit. Restrooms are in need of some TLC but still clean. I would feel safer with security at night. They have outdoor vending machines...

Yeaa We Felt The Love. I LOVED the hospitality ! I loved the genuinely nice people of Mississippi. I drove almost 15 hours. I needed to REST for a few. I was able to stop in the rest area to actually RELAX. Staff was very accommodating and amazing they truly deserve the recognition. I had a good conversation even a good laugh. The entire welcome center is beautiful the scenery is peaceful.Restrooms are clean, they have coffee, water, ice, even a grill and picnic tables. Staff even gave my child a coloring book, crayons and a book to read. Thank you...

As a trucker, I was out of hours and the truck parking was full. But there was lots of room on the shoulder of the exit. Just got to sleep and BANG, BANG, BANG on the side of the truck. An elderly woman tells me that I have to leave. No idea who she was. Finally told me that she was security. Told her that I couldn't drive anymore due to the laws. She threaten to call a tow truck. There were 6 of is parked on the shoulder. The old girl had a serious attitude. Bottom line, I had to drove illegally to find another place to park. Welcome to Mississippi, ...
