So many people (myself included) have some of their greatest childhood memories here. The world can be complicated and messy and it makes you forget the things in life that truly matter. Warm cider on a cool evening, chasing your friends through a corn maze, a hot fire to roast smores. I have images of family members in my head wearing mittens and knit caps, framed by oranges and browns, with bright pumpkins scattered around their boots. Some of those family members are no longer alive, but I still get to reunite with them in my heart every time I visit this magical place. Magical. That word can be thrown a lot without much meaning, but so many wonderful things have happened to me here, that I can't think of another way to describe it. I've fallen in love here. I've made friends here. I've celebrated here. I've danced here. I've looked up at the moon over a corn maze with the embers of a fire dancing in the air, and puffs of frost marking my breath, and I've felt wholly at home here. This place is home, and I hope you get to experience it the way I have. God bless and be kind to one another and buy a pumpkin or two on your way out so you have a little piece of magic to bring home to...
Read moreWe went here for the first time today. We drove an extra 15 minutes from the place we usually go to, that's only 10 minutes from our house, but we thought we would try somewhere new. We were not impressed. The hay ride was pitiful. The covered wagon ride that's 10 minutes from our house isn't much better, but it is about the same price. The food was awful. Everything was prepackaged and warmed up in a microwave. See attached photo. I also noticed merchandise for sale in the gift shop that was purchased at Dollar General and then marked up twice as much. I will say that the 2 stars I gave were because my daughter did enjoy the corn pit, slide and the jumping inflatable. I had to keep a good eye on her though because there wasn't any kind of safety net or cushioned mat around the jumping inflatable. If a child falls off, it's straight onto concrete. There were also some bigger boys running around pushing each other and doing flips on it the day we were there so I had my daughter get off of it for her safety which upset her because it was what she had the most fun doing. There is no staff monitoring the play areas to address concerns to. We have no plans on...
Read moreI HIGHLY recommend visiting Bandy's Pumpkin Patch. I visited today with a large group (about 50 people) of adults with intellectual disabilities. Each staff member (I think they are family?) that works at Bandy's were very helpful and accommodating to our group. We were able to use the corn cannon, play inside the play barn, walk through the kids corn maze, enjoy a hayride and received a miniature pumpkin for $5. This was an amazing deal! The gift store and concession stand also provide very reasonable prices. We were able to bring our own lunches at eat at the picnic tables. My group had a blast while visiting at Bandy's and will be making this a yearly event to come back next year! Thank you so much to everyone that works at Bandy's Pumpkin Patch for providing us with wonderful...
