Sunbury Boutique & Treasures — Local services in Hertford

Found a dresser I absolutely loved from this “boutique” on a Facebook yard sale site. Offered a price & was told she accepted it IF I picked up by Sunday (this was Saturday). DID NOT SAY first come first served! Told her I couldn’t get there before she closed on Saturday as I was coming from Elizabeth City but would definitely be there on Sunday to get it. She even told me they could load it in my truck. I messaged her on Sunday appx 12:30 as they just opened at 12, to let her know I was on my way to which she informed me he had just sold my dresser!!! Sold it right out from under me! We specifically made arrangements the day before that I would be there on Sunday to pick it up. She gave me the excuse that others have said they would be there and never showed, to which I stated I’m not “other” people, I said I would be there & I was coming. Had I not messaged her, I would have driven all the way out there to find out she had sold it. Apparently she doesn’t care about customers only money because she jumped on the first one who offered her cash instead of waiting for the customer she had given her word to & already promised the dresser to! I wouldn’t give her my business now if my life depended on her! Sorry way to conduct business & she wonders why nobody shows after dealing with her!
