Dollar General — Local services in Hickman

Note: this happened today Honestly, I usually don't have a problem coming in here. They have great stuff. But my mother and I went in and I am guessing the assistant manager Jodi was having a horrible day. I know the matchine was messing up and we were being very patient and were in no hurry. But the moment we got to the cash register she started throwing things (her drink) and slamming it on the counter so hard it would bounce off. (Did this SEVERAL times!) And was yelling at things really loudly and being really unprofessional. She made my mother and I so uncomfortable we almost just walked out. I will never go back in there as long as she is still employed there. Her yelling and language was really uncalled for. It made it seem like it was at us for her having to do her job and ring us up. Heard there was a larger Dollar General close to my town, so I took the grandbabies there to each get one thing of their choice. The new manager (Wayne I think) was working by the door and my grandsons fell in love with him immediately. He helped them find the toy area and they went crazy trying to decide which thing to get. He then directed us to the snack and cereal area where the choices were unending. My trip became more expensive than I had planned, but it was definitely enjoyable. The staff and item selections were great and iI will definitely frequent this store...

Honestly….I’ve gotta say it’s a great store! I know the head manager personally and he’s a great guy! But the assistant manager Jodi, is an extremely rude and disrespectful person, and it makes me afraid to go in there. This location has honestly lost my business because of their lack of standards for cashiers that they hire, and for the simple fact that Jodi’s behavior towards people is absolutely disgusting. I know I’m not the only one who has issues with her!!!! If she is gone, then, and only then, will I start...
