The above review I had posted was a lie. I was told I had to give a 5 star review there and on the spot before I even got my couch home just to receive a 5% discount. There is absolutely no negotiating with their high prices. We have since had this couch for one year exactly and we are so displeased with it. We bought it scrambling to come up with the couch of our dreams while I was 8 1/2 months pregnant so yeah, you could say we messed up. The couch was promised that it was real wood string and sturdy frame, nope, it’s a lot of plywood and such once you look at it yourself. The large couch is three pieces and they have always so easily come unlocked. The stitching has pulled very easily in a few places from normal sitting. There is a piece that sits right near the arm rest in the center of the love seat and I put my elbow there and it completely crushed all the way through it. We called them to help us get that fixed because we paid for a warranty as well…yea no. It was a back and forth game for a little while and how they would decide to help us. We would have had to pay an additional $100 for them to come to our house or we would have had to bring the whole couch to them which isn’t feasible because we don’t have a truck. We paid for them to deliver it and set it up in the first place just so the warranty wouldn’t be void if we ever had an issue. This is one of the most poorly made couches I have ever seen. I would have been better off buying something from a Walmart, no joke.

You guys, the list goes on. So nice to your face, but I regret EVERYTHING about buying this one year old couch. I should add that we do not allow dogs on the couch, and I only have one child who is a baby, so there is zero wear and tear. All of these issues are from two mature adults who know how to act on a couch.

I wish I would have thought about altering this review sooner so I could help steer more people away. I also encourage you as a reader to look at the responses that HPDF is giving to all the lower star reviewers. They are highly rude and out of line without a customer service attitude but rather with arrogance. It’s laughable. (Coming from a retail manager for over 10 years dealing with THOUSANDS...

So, how can I describe my experience here with one word? Delighted!!!

Our son is having surgery first of next week. So we needed to find a new piece of bedroom furniture, mattress & box springs and get it delivered right away. We were so close to the holidays, It was hard to find anyone wanting to help us. When we called here, we asked could our need be supplied right away? Without making false promises, It was very evident that we had found a business that wanted to help us. So we came here right away. We were literally shocked With our experience. It was a little difficult to find but certainly worth the search. When we walked in the door; we were met by a professional and courteous young man (Armando), who wanted to personally take us through their extensive warehouse, and help us find what we needed. And that's exactly what he did. He took us piece by piece, through the items that might possibly be of interest to us. Described the pertinent features and the relevant benefits to us and to our son. And then gave us a great discount for being willing to do business today.. I look forward to recommending to my friends and neighbors to do business with places that are so eager & able to please.. They made our shopping experience pleasurable. And were able to help us find and get exactly what we needed.! This is one of those rare experiences where Five stars is not high enough! I was excited about my purchase at High Point Discount Furniture. The owners were really pleasant and patient. I recall it as a great experience, and I thought I'd shop there again given the chance; however after purchasing a bedroom set there around May of last year, I've started to see cracks and loosening of knobs on several of the pieces. I moved about 7 months ago ( a week or so after my purchase) from the area, and aside from a few nicks during the move, I hadn't noticed anything until now (not even a year after purchasing moderately priced furniture). Suddenly, a glaring crack has appeared out of nowhere in the chest of drawers and the knobs are breaking in ways that do not allow one to simply screw them back on, several months after the move. I think it'd need to be rewelded to the metal piece that is still stuck in the drawer, and since I like symmetry, a missing knob gets to me every time I have to look at it. The furniture is still functional. I still like it. It was economical, but to be honest, I really don't know how many more months ? or years I will get out of it before more pieces start to break away. I'm not saying that these imperfections couldn't have been caused later on by the previous move, but I have furniture that is much older and a lot less attractive than the furniture I purchased at High Point Discount yet after several moves and several years, it still stands strong with a few chips...
