My family of 4 stayed in the Moose Haven cabin from 8.14 to 8.21.2020. (We did not see the inside of the other cabins, so I cannot speak to those.) ||||The cabin itself was impeccably clean, well furnished and stocked with all the comforts of home one might need to stay in a cabin. It was easily the most private on the property. The full kitchen was roomy enough to cook every meal. We loved the gas grill and the firepit and took advantage of being able to cook over an open wood flame with the cooking grate they provided. The "patio" and lawn area behind the cabin was very nice and the stone wall was constructed with perfection. One suggestion would be to add another Adirondack chair as the bench and wooden picnic table can become cramped and it's not as easy to spread out. We also appreciated the vaulted ceiling for an even more airy feel. ||||The beds in the cabin were incredibly comfortable. Even the sofa bed, which had a memory foam mattress, afforded a great night of rest. The cabin was spacious as well and we were not on top of one another. ||There is no bedding or towel changes unless you request it.||||The weather was hot, but the a/c and ceiling fans were plenty to keep us cool. Another suggestion would be to have window coverings on all of the windows so curtains or shades could be closed each night.||||It was fun to have the chickens behind us!||||The downside is, it's not as secluded as one many want. It is close to the main highway which affords some noise and light pollution.||||It is minutes away from Mt Rushmore, Crazy Horse and Custer State Park. We also rented a boat for the day at Sheridan Lake which is less then 15 min away. Hill City is well equipped with a nice grocery store, plenty of eateries for treats or meals and little shops to browse. These are minutes away from the property. If you are in need of more, Rapid City is an easy 30 min drive away.||||Vivian and her family clearly take a lot of pride in their property and it shows. They are very friendly and available for any questions and needs. I would not hesitate to suggest this for a wonderful stay in the Black Hills of...
Read moreThe Restmore Inn & Moose Haven Cabin offer a truly exceptional home away from home Rally experience. This was our 39th Consecutive Sturgis Rally & we've learned a thing or two in the process. Did tents & campgrounds in our younger days, evolved to cabins as we've become well seasoned travelers. The Restmore Inn is the third such facility we've tried in the Hill City/Custer area & third time was certainly a charm. We'll never stay anywhere else! Absoultely everything you could ever need is provided, just hit the grocery store & you're all set. The setting, on the edge of the National Forest is ideal, plus the location is perfect for "Day Tripping" throughout the Black Hills. There's plenty of room to roam & the cabins and motel rooms are exceptionally well appointed. Give Calvin & Vivian a try, we're certain you'll be pleased. But the Moose Haven is already booked for the Sturgis 85th...
Read moreRestmoe Inn near Custer, SD, is a total gem! Nestled near the start of Needles Highway, the most breathtaking route to Mount Rushmore, this cabin rental is a bucket-list must. We stayed in the bear-themed cabin, which was spotlessly clean, cozy, and bursting with charm—many bear pictures, prints, and carvings were such a fun touch! The cabin had everything: a full kitchen with utensils, a full-size fridge, an outdoor grill, an attached carport, and a porch with a geat view. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and while heat and A/C were available, we didn’t need them thanks to perfect weather. Just minutes from Custer State Park and about 20 miles from Mount Rushmore, it’s an ideal base for exploring the Black Hills. We couldn’t have found a cleaner, cuter, or more welcoming spot. Already planning our return! Highly recommend Restmoe Inn for an unforgettable South...
