This place should be shut down. The salon is in terrible condition, disrepair, and just plain dirty. Perhaps one could say disheveled rather than dirty. You can judge from the photo. Nikki made me sign LEGAL DOCUMENTS the first time they did my hair and then now has the nerve to be CLOSED with NO ONE ANSWERING THE PHONE while I’m now here for my appointment. (driven 30 mins in the snow to get here.) I’ve never experienced this level of unprofessionalism. Don’t waste your time or money. ...I've just read the owner's response below and am greatly dismayed and disturbed. After twice calling the shop number and then the cell number that was used to contact me the day before (Nikki wanted to make sure I was a returning client) I only received a return call after posting the above review. Ostensibly, the call was in response to a bad review. After Nikki told me the reason she was not at the salon, I expressed sympathy for her son's illness and that I'd pray for him, but did mention that I would've appreciated a "heads up" that morning before driving very far out of my way to a closed shop for my hair to remain undone. Yes, a child's birthday party doesn't compare to a sick child, but my point is that professionalism dictates that you inform your workplace that you've had an emergency. I didn't hang up on you, the call dropped. I proceeded to block your number because it was clear that you were calling me to say unprofessional and upsetting things like "you shouldn't have said the salon was dirty...that's mean". It was evident to me that this was no longer a healthy customer service interchange. I was under a great deal of stress at that time too: I lost my father 2 months ago and at the time that we spoke my sister was in the hospital and then passed away 5 days after we spoke. I pray to God that you don't mention them in your inevitable response to this because that would be too much for me to bear. Please do not talk to me about being insensitive to personal tragedies and loss. I'm living with profound grief everyday. I suggest you put the energy you spend on replying to reviews to improving your customer service and...
Read moreIf I can give no stars I would, The owner didn't even do anything to my hair. She didn't want to be there she said, she doesn't usually expect clients after 11:00am on Saturday even though online it states she does, she was clearly ready to go. She said she doesn't need clients. She get paid anyway. I felt like crying because Thanksgiving is coming up and you want to look nice for all the family members you are going to see. Well at least I do. I wanted to have a nice day! I'm not problematic but she wants problems. Men are not allowed in the salon and the salon is dirty, cluttered and unprofessional she even had her kids there. It was like going to an apartment downtown and getting your hair done which is way better then going there. I have no problem paying for good services but I have a problem with not getting my hair done at all and still being charged for nothing and being rushed. She was said "I'm and on a time frame on so you have to hurry." So you need to put our cellphone in your purse we don't use that." If I pay you the money I work had for I want you to work hard and take your time with the money I'm going to give you and also I want you to not tell me what I need to do like you are paying me. The cops always come there and are tired of her too. How sad! This is not a business this is a joke. She doesn't need clients she gets $800 a month telling her personal business and is reporting all negative comments on here as fraud no it not its the truth and you need to live with it. Tell the truth and shame the devil. Please don't waste your time or money here it will not be worth it and they over charge. RUN AWAY FAR FAR AWAY! I wish I could have. This place is a scam. The owner is a scam and the only worker there on Saturday how sad....
Read moreIt took me a little while to get to writing this review but I could never forget to give this salon a shout out because I am reminded of what an amazing stylist I had every time I look in the mirror! My stylist was Nicole and she was absolutely amazing. Nicole installed a sew in for me and she also gave my transitioning hair a restorative treatment. By the time she was done with the treatment my hair felt and looked beautiful. This was before she even pressed it out. She told me people fly down to Atlanta to sit in her chair and after seeing her work I'm not surprised at all. This sew in is literally a work of art. Hands down the flattest sew in I have ever had! Right away I noticed the difference between her and other stylist I had been to in the past. She takes her time and Does not cut corners (no double wefts and huge spaces in the track placement!). Her one goal is to make sure she does the install as seamless and natural as possible. People complain about the price but their quality of work goes beyond the little bit of money I spent. You get what you pay for ladies! I would go back there in a heartbeat because she not only did a very good job with my hair, she also made me feel incredibly comfortable the entire time I was there. I have been to other black salons and sometimes I get the vibe that the stylists can be a bit catty (and unprofessional). There was none of that here! Thank you Nicole for giving the best sew in I have ever had! I will most certainly be back to get gifted by your hands again. Ladies, ignore the negative reviews and give this salon a try. You will not be...
