My daughter and I came to Bonita for the first time based off a recommendation as well as seeing positive online reviews. We both have straight shoulder length hair, but the back of our hair is longer than the front, in an oval shape. We both came in wanting to trim the back to be on equal length with the rest of our hair. I also came in wanting to trim my curtain bangs as well. When we told Bonita this, she was perfectly okay and told us it’s an easy job. She had a girl wash my daughter’s hair first, and then Bonita began trimming it. As I noticed Bonita finishing up my daughter’s hair, I noticed the back was still long and asked her if she could trim it a bit more. She assured me that after my daughter got blow-dried, she’d fix whatever was needed. While my daughter was getting blow-dried, Bonita began trimming my hair. She finished and then began blow-drying mine as well. First, she couldn’t style the bangs correctly; they were floating in the air. I asked her to fix the way she blow-dried my bangs so I could check if the length was correct. She was struggling to get them to sit nicely and was getting a bit annoyed with it, so I said it was ok and that I’d do it once I got home. After she dried the rest of my hair, I noticed one side of my hair was shorter than the other and that the back was still long. When I asked her to fix this, she became annoyed and said there was nothing wrong with my hair. I had to take photos and point them out to her for her to see what was wrong. She very harshly told me to sit down and when I asked her to please speak more nicely to me, she told me it was her salon, and she can speak however she wants to. I told her that it’s very wrong to speak to customers that way. She just ironically smiled at me, and I had no choice but to let her continue and attempt to fix my hair. She went in with her thinning shears and started cutting the back of my hair. After I felt it for the first time, my heart dropped. There was barely anything left. The back of my hair was now extremely thin, while the sides were still very thick. At this point I could no longer argue with her as I was so upset and drained of energy. I asked her as calmly as possible please thin the sides a little as well, and she harshly commented “now you want me to cut the sides too?” She was obviously irritated and kept smiling cynically as she cut my hair with one hand (the other on her hips). By the time I got up I had no energy to tell her to fix my daughter’s hair, so I asked to pay. She said she didn’t want my money. I want to make clear that none of this was because we did not want to pay. My daughter and I came in wanting to walk out confident in our hair and instead I left horrified with my new haircut. I paid Bonita in cash for both of our cuts ($140 + $10 tip for the girl who washed our hair). The way Bonita acted was extremely unprofessional and not how you...

I went to go get my hair done after quarantine and before a friends wedding. I had been growing out my hair for so long, I used to have my hair buzzed and now it’s down past my shoulders. I also was growing it out of a balayage so that I could go blonde. I asked Bonita when I got there the best way to go blonde with the current stage my hair was in. She said to highlight it gradually until eventually I’ll be blonde. So I said okay and she started foils. Afterwards she handed me to one of her employees, Martina. Martina tones my hair and went to ask Bonita for approval on the color. Both Martina and Bonita were rough with my hair and it hurt a lot (I think I might have a sensitive scalp but I just wanted to mention it hurt in case anyone else had the same issue or also has a sensitive scalp). Martina was about to blow dry my hair when I asked if I was getting a cut. So Martina went to get Bonita. Bonita asked what side I do my part on and then just started cutting. She didn’t even ask how much I wanted cut off and she just did what she wanted. Martina then blow dried my hair and said “let me see if Bonita is going to style your hair before I do it.” Bonita then talked to me a little bit about what I wanted to do for my friends wedding. She said she thought it would be better to just do the style on the day of and she ushered me to the front to pay. I paid a lot of money to not even get my hair styled. If I knew no one was going to at least throw some curls in my hair then I would have told them to leave my hair wet and I wouldn’t have paid for a full blow out just for them to dry my hair. I also didn’t even have time to look at the color of the highlights. I saw a little bit in the mirror but I wasn’t even asked what tone of blonde I was looking for. I probably should have spoken up but it was really unprofessional for Bonita to assume everything for what I wanted for my hair. I’m so upset and disappointed. This salon has made me hate my hair. The highlight I got are yellow and don’t match my previous highlights which are platinum blonde or even almost gray. It’s not cohesive. It’s ugly. I feel like after growing it out for so long I have to start at square one or go to a different salon and see if they can fix it. Don’t go here. They don’t care about their clients. They just do whatever and get paid. I even had to tip both of them. I didn’t sign up for that. I shouldn’t be crying over my hair. Worst place to get your hair done ever. I have been a client for the last year specifically for hair extensions. I was super excited about this salon and everything was great in the beginning. I got my extensions installed and had my future appointments set with a stylist who I loved. She ended up moving out of state and then Lynx had another stylist for me which I was grateful for. However, I feel like I was never really valued and just thrown from one stylist to the next which is okay but I just never felt “valued”. another issue is that the price for the extensions are probably the most expensive in town but my extensions tremendously shrunk in length which also made me feel upset. I knew they shrink but mine had shortened about 5 inches in length where at that point- what is the point of extensions. I feel like I was over charged and not valued or ever left feeling pretty. No one besides the original stylist ever bothered to take a picture of my hair to post or made me feel “beautiful.” I don’t feel like I have a connection to any stylist here and when I cancelled my new order, no one bothered to reach out and ask if I was okay or what happened. I’m extremely upset as I have spent several thousand dollars on my hair and my hair looks awful. I expressed my feelings today after receiving a text from the owner asking for a testimonial about my hair extensions for the benefit of the salon -while she had no idea mine were removed since i had them for a year and that’s how long they usually last - i replied and said this would have been more appropriate last year WHEN I got them in- i called the salon and the receptionist was very compassionate said the owner will call me, and she ended up only texting me offering a discount. I felt it was very not genuine as she didn’t even bother to call and ask what happened . Needless to say, I will not be going back. The hair stylists are amazing, they are personable, and importantly hear what you want and recommend their best advice to work with you making sure you leave feeling beautiful as ever. When you walk into the salon it is not only the cutest most aesthetic place but also the place gives you relaxation and peace. Peter is absolutely amazing, he’s been doing my hair coloring for quite some time and I couldn’t ask for a better stylist. He is so personable and hears what I want and gets the job done, I always leave feeling so confident and beautiful. If you have inspos like I did with cowboy copper (which is me currently with a tad more red) or blondes, they will see the vision for you and make it happen with they or upmost honestly. I thank them so much for being amazing!! I recommend them to anyone in the area, they can do it all!! (:

She knows first hand how to deliver the results her customers are looking for. I had lots of questions never having extensions before. Bonita took the time to answer all my questions and I cannot tell you how thankful I am for her! She truly has changed my life. My extensions are gorgeous and I don’t think I could imagine a life without them! Her staff is also amazing and extremely helpful. Peter is a queen and truly gives the BEST blow outs!!! I am a lifetime Lynx customer!! ❤️❤️❤️

I chanced upon this place while browsing near by salons in the area. The reviews listed here are by actual satisfied customers and I totally second it after my visit. I was a little uncertain and not sure about what to do with my hair. I scheduled an appointment and it was very easy to get one. When I walked in Peter greeted me and made me feel very comfortable. We discussed the style and look that I wanted. He gave me several options to work with…And then he started. The whole process took about 2.5 hours… what I liked the most was that he was taking pictures all through before / after/ midway. Eventually I was very satisfied with the job done. Highly recommended!
