EAT HERE! Don't even second guess it. If only I had a photo of my $8 breakfast. It was HUGE. I had the Chipped Beef on Toast (4 slices of homemade thick bread). To add even more they included 2 eggs on the side - WOW! I would have paid doubled the price. The best part is that the chipped beef and gravy were made fresh per order and it is NOT pre-made gravy. The owner is also absolutely wonderful. She has really made this little OLD store something. Also be sure to go to the back of the store and see some of the local artwork for sale while you are there. I cannot speak high enough about the Hillsgrove Country Store as well as the wonderful people who work there. I went back that evening to listen to bluegrass, but I understand that they have all types of music coming through there. I will go back again just for the people. It's nice to get away...

Quite a change from the old hillsgrove country store. Most of the merchandise has been cleared out, just some groceries and art is left. The majority of the space has been turned into a restaurant. Friendly staff, very good food at extremely reasonable prices. The Italian hoagies are special. Free WiFi, which is hard to find in this area. Try Becky's ice cream just down the road...

September 4, 2022, breakfast out. 🥞 🥓 Hubby got "The Mess" which checked all the boxes, I had 2 French Toast (sour dough) & bacon, and our child had pancakes & bacon. 😋 Very satisfied tummies!
