Not a winter friendly place to hike. The area may be beautiful and peaceful in the summer but I made the mistake of trying to see the carved faces in the winter. The trail is sloped and uneven enough that I about ended up on my face a 100 times. When it was all said and done, I thought I expended way more energy than the beauty of the area was worth. Very nice nature trails with rock formations and stone carvings along the way. The path was easy to find and is right at the parking entrance. Overflow parking available in adjacent lot.
