Cute little cabins in Hitchock. We stayed here off and on from jan. To march. We had a big (little ) cabin. We were stsying in a hotel while working here but their prices kept getting higher and higher and when your forking out $79 a night out of your own pocket for a hotel so you can work, its not affordable. So, found this cute little place. They are clean and furnished with some kitchen stuff for cooking, the oven and stove are a little small in our room we couldn't actually see the numbers to set it so i just guessed burnt a few things but no biggie. The cabins are 1 room with a bed small tv a dresser and a night stand some rooms have a extra dresser with a hutch which was nice to keep food in and they have a small bathroom, the water gets cold quickly so no hanging out in the shower. They have a table to eat also and have 2 electric heaters to keep you warm during cold months.. during hurricane Laura we had to evac from Lake Charles and this was the first place we called.. when i told her we were evacuating she got me and my girls a flat. They are very small really only big enough for one but we made it work. Both the cabins anf the flats have a loft with an extra bed.. the cabin loft is a nice size and you can stand up in it but only in the middle ( its an A frame) but in the flat it is super low, you have to crawl in and just go to sleep you can't even sit up in the bed. So we didn't use the loft. You rent these weekly which come out to like 40 a day... much better than a hotel. The lady in the office is nice and helped us out in a bind when we couldn't go home for 2 weeks because we had no power or water. This will be our go to place if we ever have to evac again. Tried for a week in advance to book one of their cabins, spoke with the man that answers the phone every single time I‘ve called, when I first started calling a week in advance he told me he would have some available Saturday when the people checked out to call back Friday so he could get me put on the list, I called Friday afternoon told him who I was he said yes they are supposed to check out Saturday call me back then so I can get you put on the list, which I don’t understand why he couldn’t take my information an as soon as they checked out put my name in. So I did as he asked called Saturday about 12 noon he said well they are still here, they’re supposed to be checking out today then I can add you, he told me to call back. So I called back later in the day, same thing so then I call back at 6pm remember they don’t close til 7pm the guy refuse to answer the phone after that, so I left a message thinking maybe they closed a little early today, today is Sunday it says they are open on the website, have not heard back from the message I left, called again an still refusing to answer my calls. I have been calling from 3 different numbers an he has been declining all 3 numbers poor customers service they need...

I have been living here a little over a year now. The rooms and cabins are both reasonably priced. Very welcoming to family's with kids. Nice little spot away from all the hustle and bustle of major city's. You can see a variety of animals down by the water on a daily basis. Quite peaceful place to get a break away from everything if you prefer to slow down a little bit. Definitely recommend to anyone needing a place and don't want to spend close to 400 for a...
