EMS Filipino/Asian Store — Local services in Hobart Township

Stopped by this little diamond in the rough and was more than satisfied with our purchase. The lady running the store was so kind and helpful. I couldn't decide if I wanted to buy the ginger tea and she opened a jar so I could have a sample. What a sweet lady!!! She made me a small cup and I loved the flavor- I did end up purchasing the tea. We were also on the hunt for stir fry noodles and she went over all the different noodle types and what they would be good for. Also, my son had several question regarding different sauces and she helped him with that. We had a great time in the store and they have everything you could possibly need. I am so super happy to have found this place! We visit family in Michigan City and the nearest Asian grocery store is almost an hour away! I can deal with the 1/2 hour drive to get to this little store. So glad I don’t have to pack basic Asian supplies in my suitcase for our visits. The purpose of my visit was that I needed the right eggroll wrappers to make Vietnamese eggrolls and egg noodles to make wonton soup. Found them at this store. Also needed the Totole chicken bouillon, they didn’t have this brand but had the Knorr brand so will have to make do. Overall, I’m ecstatic that I won’t have to drive super duper far to get ingredients to make my dishes when I come out to visit...
