I got a wiff of somethng good cooking, and the truck just automatically pulled in. Mmm, mmm, mmm, good.Good truck!

I was craving fried chicken all weekend, and this exceeeded my greatest expectations. The chicken was crisp and crunchy on the outside, and tender and juicy inside. Seasoned just right, and when you bite into it juuuuust a little juice runs out your mouth and you relish every drop.

And whoever taught the young man behind the counter to cook green beans should be proud. Again, perfectly cooked to have just a little resistance when you bite in, and flavored with tiny pieces of fatback or bacon. The devil is in the details, and the protein in this is cut small enough so you get some in every bite, with consistent flavor all the way through. That's the kind of love you find at a five star resort, not a gas station deli.

Finally the mac and cheese had some new fangled noodle that my wife experimented with in her macaroni salad last month to no good outcome. Well apparently they are designed for mac and cheese because I couldn't believe how good they were here. First thing I thought of was Jules from Pulp Fiction, "This some gourmet...." And far from the Velveeta I use, this was some kind of cheese blend that was Boss level depth of flavor, with a thick, creamy texture and a rich, yet tangy flavor.

I've been going to this store most of my life and have always been happy. It's been a downhill experience since it was sold. I've been a solid customer who has spent much money. Now I call to order pizza and have some guy be very rude and snarky like it's such a burden to receive my business. Griffins is not what it use to be and all the locals know...

I've ordered 5 different pizzas at different times from this store and every time it has been wrong. Two of those times I've asked them to correct it and it takes them at least an hour to make another. I will never again step foot...
