Last Sunday, a storm blew through our neighborhood and took out several big trees. We thought the giant oak tree in our back yard came through it without any damage, but that evening we noticed a large limb stuck in the canopy just over the roof of our house. It broke off in the storm and got caught in the lower branches. With more storms in the forecast, we called every tree service we could find to see if someone could cut the limb down before it fell on our roof, but they were all pretty busy with the storm damage. I called our insurance agent yesterday afternoon, and they suggested I call Andy. He was there within a few minutes to take a look. There was no access to the area for a bucket truck, so he would need to climb in order to get to it, and the next day was July 4 which he'd planned to take off. He quoted us a very fair price and, despite the holiday, offered to come first thing in the morning to do the removal. When we accepted, he got on the phone right away to his crew to find someone who was available to help. They were at our house at 7:15 this morning, and they had the limb down in less than two hours. They even swept some of the storm debris off our roof while they were up there. Once again, Andy Doss of Mountaineer Tree Surgeon did an excellent job of tree removal and tree trimming, this time on my mother’s property. She had several limbs dangerously close to her powerline, as well as several large limbs leaning towards her home that Mr. Doss took care of in a prompt and professional manner. Mr. Doss was very communicative, even though he was out of town when I first called him for a quote. Within an hour of him returning to town the next day, he was able to meet me for a consultation, and scheduled the job for three days later. The job required a bucket truck in close proximity to power lines and a 100-year-old-house, and consisted of removing one entire tree, and trimming four others. He arrived on time and was able to complete the job in less time than originally quoted. He offered to stack the wood that my husband and I wanted to keep, and left the property in cleaner shape than it was when he started. My husband called Mountaineer Tree Surgeons and Andy came out that evening and gave a quote and answered some questions he had about our other trees. Andy will take as much time as you need to answer any questions you have about removing your trees. Andy and his crew came within a few days (it rained). We had some shrubs that we din't know needed to be moved to grind the stumps. Andy and his helper removed them AND offered to set them back out! They did a wonderful job of felling several large trees and fast! They cleaned and raked the area real good. They ground the stumps and smoothed the ground. They scooped up the mulch and piled it for me to use later. They are not too rushed to sit and talk with you a spell.
