On the Edge's website, they have a section with information about hosting kids birthday parties. My daughter wanted an ice skating party for her birthday, so I contacted the director (Kory) about a month before her birthday to get details and make a plan. Over the last month I have left countless voicemails and emails. I have managed to connect with him over the phone ONCE, and he didn't know the answers to my questions (such as: is there open skate on the specific date, how much is the charge per person, etc) so he said he would "get back to me". Of course I missed his ONE phone call and have not been able to get ahold of him since, as he would not return my phone calls or emails. I finally stopped in there to see if I could catch him in person, and I took him off guard and got a lot of excuses. He promised to get back to me by the end of the week with further details and he did not. As it is the middle of summer, I assume it is not their busy time so I have no idea why this is so difficult. I am now scrambling to cobble together a different birthday party plan, and have a very sad kid. I am giving this place one star only because I can't give it zero, which is what I view it as based on the experience I had. I don't see how this place will keep running with management like this. I realize that a kid's birthday party is probably not priority but then don't offer it on your website. It still would've brought...
Read moreThis is one of the more modern ice rinks that I have been in. A mix of pleasing aesthetics and solid design. A good sized equipment store is on site, spacious lobby and two modern rinks. Check out the recliners on the second floor over looking the rink. If you need a break from the cool rink air, step inside the warm link that divides both rinks and you can view games through the second floor windows. I would say the locker rooms are decent size but very basic and probably the least thought went into design. That being said its still one of my favorite places for a hockey tournament. If the concession stands are open you won't need to leave the facility...
Read moreMy man and I went here on a special day when the Griffins were practicing. Afterward, they all came out to tables where they signed photos of themselves for people. It was amazing! We got a photo of ourselves with the Calder Cup they had won. We did partake in some food and looked through the shop. It was a neat place. We had the availability to skate as well. You can use their skates or bring your own. We did not skate that day though. It...
