Dollar General — Local services in Hollister

All I can say is Dollar general really got lucky with their new manager they just put in the store. She has cleaned up the store so well within the short amount of time she has been here. Along with her staff another young girl that works in the morning time I'm sorry I did not get names but I do have frequent conversations because they are very friendly amongst the workload that they have to tackle. Their customer service is very friendly they're very attentive if they are not at the register they are always working hopefully Dollar general sees them to be a benefit and pays them accordingly to keep their store thriving. Convenient, close to front door parking. Ample handicap accessible parking and easy touch less entrance. This is the crown jewel of Dollar Generals. Frozen food and dairy immediately to the right when you enter store. Huge grocery section. This store does not carry clothing(which is a BIG plus) so their home selection and o-t-c mess and personal care items is expanded. I consistently find cute decor seasonal items....DG has upped their game in this department. The store is always clean and it is well laid out. Helpful staff. We just tried to buy beer. Probably had about $300 worth in our cart. Then were told they don’t sell beer on Sunday and there was a sign telling us so. The sign is teeny tiny and not noticeable at all. Barely even noticeable after it’s pointed out. If that’s your store policy in a lake town where most people are tourists you should have a bigger sign. The employee was very nice and apologetic. But again, if this is your policy make it clear. Don’t assume a 3” corner sign is going to do the job. I honestly feel bad that the employ has to relay...
