Where better to spend a rainy Independent Bookstore Day, than your favorite local bookstore? When I arrived, there were already a healthy number of browsers and fellow book lovers taking advantage of this little oasis, so I waited a few minutes to enter safely (new Covid safety protocol). I was so impressed with the staff's attention to detail. The two owners were actively involved in customer conversations giving out recommendations based on their reader's preferences, and the sales assistant followed hand sanitization and mask requirements to the letter. I felt safe in the knowledge that this team has taken safety seriously, while providing an excellent experience for their loyal customers. Oh, and did I mention I picked up a limited edition signed copy of 'You Have Arrived At Your Destination' by Amor Towles (A Gentleman in Moscow)? An Indie Bookstore special. My whole family will be back tomorrow for the launch of Eli's New Clothes. Can't wait to meet the author and get our book personalized. Thank you Aesop's Fable for delivering all round...
Read moreMy family loves this store and are so happy to have it in our town! Family owned, independent businesses will always be our first choice for any shopping needs and that's especially true for this bookshop after we've had nothing but great experiences shopping with them. The owners and staff have consistently been friendly, welcoming and very helpful with suggestions. We have especially appreciated their ability to serve their customers during Covid whether with online shopping, curb-side pick up, or limiting the number of shoppers inside the store at one time to ensure everyone's comfort and safety. When the libraries shut down and fun activities for the kids were hard to come by, Aesop's Fable managed to have it all! Thank you for enriching our community Leah & Andrew—you will always have...

As soon as we entered she said “ you did not see the hand sanitizer?” Where there was no sign, she did not even say welcome first, or do you mind using the hand sanitizer . Then when we headed back to the kids section she cane running to close the office door and said this is my office no kids are allowed in here, even though my kids did not even go near her office. When my daughter saw a globe and touched it, she freaked out again and told her not to touch it in a very annoyed way. I don’t think they are kids friendly at all, may be good for adults but don’t know how to...
