I do not recommend taking your computer here. While this business had positive (old) reviews I had a terrible experience in September at their Highway 140 Hickory Flat Store, Alpha Computers. I took in a working computer with a slightly cracked screen for screen replacement & battery refresh; when received back the owner himself had cracked the new replacement screen, which he admitted to in writing, and it would no longer even light up; and it now had a new power problem, which he also has admitted to in writing. It will not even power on anymore. I took it to a manufacturer authorized shop and they determined there was a newly broken off battery connector on the motherboard, and they said that is responsible for the power issue. (I say newly because I was informed that if it had been broken prior to taking it in to Alpha Computers, the power problem would’ve existed before I dropped it off.) It needs a new motherboard.

My experience at Alpha Computers is that Mr. Wilson not only did not fix my computer but returned it in worse condition, completely nonfunctional, which he admitted to; however he denies responsibility saying that it was coincidence it broke while in his shop right after he installed a new battery, and the motherboard would have failed anyway. (This ignores the fact that I had a working screen and he returned it with a completely nonfunctional cracked replacement display.) He has never once addressed the issue of the broken battery connector and how it happened. He refused to even communicate with me regarding reaching an agreement about a remedy for the situation— however his “friend” sent me personally attacking and threatening messages about my negative review elsewhere. This “friend” also said the manufacturer authorized repair shop technicians must be lying, along with me. The computer was two years old 2- in-1 laptop, i7, 16gb RAM, 512gb SSD. Repairing it will be $1175 or replacing over $1200. I regret the fact that I trusted this shop with my computer. In my opinion the way the owner has handled this situation is completely unprofessional...

Alpha Computers charged me $260 to replace an iPad screen. It took Chuck 2 weeks to get it back to me. When I received it back, the screen was not installed properly. The time and battery were cut off in both corners. I took it back to him last Wednesday. Guess what? Now it’s an internal cable that is the problem. Excuse me? It started with a simple cracked screen. Then it had to be sent off for some reason. Not fixed. Now it’s an internal cut cord? That he can’t fix. Dude wants to give my iPad back with NO screen and give me the $260 back. I said no. Give me what I paid for which is an iPad with a fixed screen or provide me with a new iPad. He literally hung up on me. A business owner. I then texted him because that is his preferred communication. He asked me not to text him anymore. He’s located on Hickory Flat Highway just outside of Harmony on the Lakes. BEWARE if you use this businesses. This is the second time this has happened to me with him. The last time it was with a MacBook. That thing is dead and won’t turn on since I let him work on it. I wanted to give him my business because he has a small business. Fool me once shame on you. Fool me twice...

10/10 Experience at Alpha with Chuck! You know that saying from Shane Co.? "Now you have a friend in the Diamond business". That's exactly how I feel after the process. All joking aside, I had a beyond fulfilling experience from the 1st phone call to picking up my device! He is very knowledgeable and respectful. I needed a back glass, a new battery and new cameras on my iPhone 13 Pro. This was no issue for them to handle. They beat every other stores' prices by a couple hundred dollars. I planned to use an old phone I had sitting in the drawer while my primary device was away and to my surprise that one was no longer in usable condition. Sitting in the drawer for some time did not bode well for the battery in my old Galaxy device. I decided to leave that with them as well after seeing the repair on my primary device! I walked out with my iPhone 13 feeling very relieved and have had no issues since. It runs cooler, the battery lasts 2x longer and the camera works again. Cannot thank Chuck enough for the money...
