I keep hearing how this is the best steak in MS. So I had to try it. I’ve been to Marshall’s Steakhouse 3 times total. On my first try, I orders the 16oz Ribeye cooked med-rare. The steak was over cooked and dry. My wife order the chicken breast and when she cut into it for her first bite the chicken was raw as can be. The waiter took it back and my wife completely lost her appetite. After this visit I was very skeptical about going back. But we were invited by friends for a party. I order the big Tomahawk steak this time. It was expensive and I was thinking there’s no way they would wanna chance messing this steak up. Same temp med-rare. The waiter brought the steak out and it looked good at first. The steak was over cooked and dry again!!!!! I’m pretty mad at this point. But I’m not evening going to complain because they act like their steaks are the best in the world and there’s no way it could be messed up. The steak had this awful smell to it. I literally took 2 bites, asked for a to-go box and left. The next morning I warmed it up in my microwave to test it one last time. The smell was so horrific I threw it in the trash immediately without even trying it. I opened the windows to my house and let it air out. At this point I am done and I said I’m NEVER going back again. Here we are 1 year later. My brother wanted his birthday dinner there. I tried to warn everyone but he insisted. Here I am last weekend on September 16, 2023, at Marshall’s once again after I made my self a promise I would never be back. I kept seeing all these Facebook post about how good it is blah blah blah. So I’m thinking ok things may have changed. I order a 16oz Ribeye med-rare. After awhile our whole table received our steaks. My steak is so dry you lost your appetite even looking at it. I cut into it. Over cooked again!!!! Im mad at this point my night is ruined! I ate half of the steak only because I was starving and I pretty much covered it in A1 sauce to even get through it. My buddy across and next to me said ā€œwell this was another sad mistake ā€œ . The waiter came by and asked how the steaks were, like I said I never complain but Ive had enough. I said mine is horrible. Chuck the waiter looks at me and gets Defensive and says ā€œthere ain’t no wayā€ with extreme arrogance. I’m pissed now because his response, like I’m a liar. To avoid any altercations I just didn’t say another word paid for my over priced, dry, and over cooked steak with a total bill of $170 and left. I WILL...

Let me start by concluding that i would not recommend this restaurant under any circumstances.

To begin with the food, we had their signature steak - the ribeye. It was unseasoned, unseared, and utterly unsatisfying. When the waitress asked how it was, she didn’t seem shocked at all when i told her my thoughts. She even noted that her ā€œboyfriend cooks a way better steak at home.ā€ We had the sausage and cheese plate, as well. I will say, it wasn’t bad but wasn’t anything special. We also had the fried oysters. These tasted more similar to a bad crab cake than a good fried oyster. Overall, the food left us longing for much more. When it comes to drinks, they only had red 3 wines available by the glass, the most expensive of which was a glass of Josh Cabernet.. fancy. The wine selection was especially surprising considering this was a steak house.

Typically, at a place like this, I’d expect the food to be overshadowed by a friendly waitstaff and ambiance. That was, the case.. but not in the way you may think. As underwhelming as the food was, the experience was worsened by everything else. To begin with, the waitress had no concept of the menu. We were brought an incorrect order of appetizers to start and the waitress would constantly need to take the menu to the register with her to enter into the system. Further, in the men’s room, a lady was cleaning and didn’t make herself known in anyway. Mid urination, the female attendant revealed herself and didn’t seem to care i was in there. This was very weird. More so, there was a small fire i sat by outside. A kitchen staff immediately asked where i was from ā€œbecause i didn’t look like i was from around here.ā€ I was born and raised in the area. He went on to tell me he was outside because his kitchen manager was a ā€œdick.ā€ The best part of the experience was that i got to share a traumatic experience with friends. We will always have the bond of how we had the ā€œbest steak in Mississippiā€ and how bad it was. It was comical, but far from enjoyable.

I impel you to save your time and money, rather than giving Marshall’s...

Let’s just say we came in as a group of 20 with a reservation for a birthday party . When we arrived the parking lot was packed but great security to navigate the parking lot . We were seated in a timely manner . The issues started to arise before we were seated we were already being asked for our drink order . We asked if the air could be turned on due to the room being really hot. We were told by the server that the air thermostat was frozen and he was not sure on what was going on with it. The rest of the restaurants sitting areas had working air conditioning .Mind you we had three small children in the room . After being seated at 7:35 our food orders were not taking until 9:09 by our server after waiting another 45 min we were told by the server that the orders were not put in yet . later at around 9:45 we were informed by the general manger that most of the entrees that was ordered were not available . Salads and bread were then brought out at around 10:30 and basically thrown together and the bread was wrapped in sour towels that you could smell once the bread was placed on the table . When then were given salads without the correct dressing and when the server who brought out the salads was asked if one of the salads had blue cheese dressing the server was very rude and replied ā€œ no it doesn’t have blue cheese with an attitude ā€œ. He then proceeded to drop one of the salads and tell the general manger it was because of one of the children was in the way. when the child was not in front of him and the plate slid off of his arm . When then had another set of servers bring out our entrees to the table but first walked pass us to take them to bar to see were and who the entrees went to .You could just tell that the servers who brought out the food had no idea in were it went and didn’t ask us instead. We then went to pay for our checks and gratuity amount was at 20% which was incorrect due to the menu saying it was 18% and had to be corrected which took another 30min. All in all it was not a great experience and I will not...

šŸ”„ MARSHALLS in Holly Springs, MS is a MUST-TRY! šŸ”„ I pulled up expecting a good meal, but they hit me with some of the BEST lobster I’ve ever tasted — buttery, seasoned perfectly, and crazy tender šŸ¦žāœØšŸ¤¤. Then they brought out the 39-ounce TOMOHAWK STEAK — massive, juicy, and cooked to perfection šŸ„©šŸ”„. More than enough for two people… but I took that challenge personally šŸ˜¤šŸ’Ŗ. And YES… I had another lobster tail for DESSERT because when it’s that good, you don’t stop šŸ˜šŸ¦žā¤ļø. If you’re anywhere near Holly Springs, this is your sign to GO.
