I purchased a 13 lb whole Delmonico Steak on Sept 23 -- planning to use this for a party/grill out on th 26th --- Upon opening the vacum packing - the meat had a HORRIBLE smell -- I went to Kroger Fresh Fare and replaced the meat. The next day, I called and the clerk advised not a problem to return the product. I have offices in Grand Blanc and often pass this establishment and have for years purchased the bulk steaks and ofcourse gas and other items -- To be fair, I have never had any issues with the product and the store is impressive for a gas station Cstore. However, once I was back from Austin, and on my next trip back to a work location in Saginaw I dropped in and attempted to return the meat as instructed. The owners son took a while figuring out what to do and he was appalled/offended with the smell. (So was I upon opening it) I also had it in the back of my truck for most of the day. -- He then called me a "Liar" and said there is no way this meat went this bad in the back of your truck it has changed colors. --No kidding! I kept it in a garage refrigerator until the day I intended to return it -- He could not believe I would bring something like this back for return and he was "offended" as they have raving reviews and only sell the best product. I myself was a little more than appalled as he also told me I had no knowledge of the business or how meat is processed -- I should have returned this "right away". -- First off, he doesn't know what I know -- I do have experience in Grocery/Deli and probably have more knowledge than him on the subject and how to properly handle and process meats. Second, as I was pouring a beverage and intended to fill up gas - he started mocking me and had the clerk lauging behind the counter that I would even bring somethign like this back after that amount of time was disrespectful to their store after 3 wks -- Ok according to my calender - from the Sept 23 on the day I purchased to Sept 26 when I discovered it was bad (expiration was Sept 20 btw) - I called on Sept 27 and told them of the issue -- That leaves less than a week period in the time I knew it was bad to the time I made the return. I left the store with the product in the floor -- If i had stayed another minute I would have become JUST as unprofessional as he was -- showing the pther customers waiting in line and asking them if they could believe this? -- If anyone was offended it was me. At this point, I could have cared less about the 63.00 and some change. But checking my integerity and then mocking, ridiculing me openly in front of YOUR customers is not how you treat someone who spends more than 350.00 per month with your store (I do have the receipts to prove it). I highly suggest that the owner send the son to some customer service training so someone can instruct him on how to behave professionally. I have never been so outraged in my life with the way I was treated in this incident. Lesson Learned -- I guess the ownership is on the customer to read the fine print and make sure you aren't buying out of date products that could poison or kill your family -- However, I will alert the Gennesee Health Department -- I know some of their open face coolers - specifically the ones that have the meat are not cooling properly as I also had to dispose of a pack of Johnsville Bratwurt that I purchased there couple months back. -- Beware and never cross or disagree with the owners son NICK or expect to be ridiculed and treated like you are his employee with his cheeky arrogance! -GOD I feel sorry for them - I have learned overtime with hot head individuals it is best to pray and disengage -- However, I will make sure everyone that I know understands this incident. ---...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWell I have so much bad to say special in area that I grew up it's very sad. I know the cops and most of all the people. I went to the store and the manager there that she's been there for a while she works nights she has dark hair, older , she is just a rudest person ever customer service and everything is she makes up her own rules where is the owner at that place is falling apart she won't let you use the bathroom at night she charges for tap water and she gives you a hard time every time you go on the store I don't matter what you're spending a full tank of gas to buy in a full meal to just buy and pops of cigarettes to whatever she gives you a hard time and then she tells the other Representatives that are working the cashier to charge for tap water, next is charging to use the microwave to heat something up like coffee or tea or food she will start charging for that in such-and-such and that if you're hanging out in the car for more than just one minute in their parking lot God forbid if they're doing anything say let in the snow melt off your car or they had to just give one minute but because somebody was in there car for one minute they were loitering what the heck is going on with the place where is the owner the lawsuit and it's coming for you. She makes up s her own storiesa when she's proven wrong she tries to hide and then she makes a customer even feel more bad for just whatever and they're not doing anything but just in the store buying stuff everybody is different and she makes them feel like they're doing something illegal she is not a good worker she's not a store representative she represents nothing and I'm not alone I hope the day time people are a better environment but from what i hear i doubt it! If you're reading this need as much help as we can get go to that store get tap water go to the store buy something people need to stand up so please if you're reading this please stand up. And I want to make very valid people you need to stand up don't feel bad for talking people will make it seem like you're yelling at them because the truth hurts you are not doing anything wrong but expressing your heart and is a human that's what we do we that'stalk to each other what we're put here to do that is God's gift gave to everybody expression nobody's doing anything wrong so show some humanity, againwhere is the owner and again you can't charge for tap water lol. One more thing because somebody goes in there say they want to get water for a tea or for whatever which is a refill or for whatever the matter if they're just taking tap water or that's just tap water can't really do nothing if they have to come in their second time to talk to the manager was in there talking to a manager if they come in there for a third time and they just tried to get a straw and just simply say what's on your heart and to have a good night that's going to be twisted bad people always twist things. i am a hard worker and not just that but a local community person just like the rest of us. So please visit that store get tap water go at night so those that are reading this cuz we need you but for the ones that are reading this such as a store itself I hope the store changes for good because people are coming we all are coming and we all are different.should have saw the face when I told the young girl after the manager had told her to charge for tap water that you can't charge for tap water you should have seen her face. Young people I pray for you cuz we are change always for the good. Please always the new golden rule...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreYesterday 97/1/2014) I stopped to get fuel at the service station at I-75 and Grange Hall Road near Holly Michigan (Alex Market and Grill). My debit card was having trouble being authorized so I decided to go inside and pay. While standing in a line with about 15 others and waiting for service for close to 15 minutes, the group was informed the pumps have been down since 3am (it was now 5pm). An upset man asked why you couldnāt have told us when we walked in. The gentlemen behind the counter response was āF@#K YOU, YOU MOTHERF@#KER!ā I replied to him that was bad answer as everyone left the building. I waited long enough to speak with the cashier behind the counter to make sure the pump I was using was turned off so my debit account was not active. Being a Toolmaker for almost 40 years his language didnāt offend me as much as the woman and kids in the store, I just figured he had a lot of stress. As I started driving away, thinking of what had happened; I realized that this poor excuse for a person had no business being so disrespectful to all of us. At $4.11 a gallon for fuel and the higher prices for his merchandises, he needs to learn how to handle these types of issues. We as consumers only have one way of dealing with this type of disrespect. Just to be clear, I stop at this station at least 2 times a week and in the winter 3 times. I will NOT be purchasing anything from this business again. And since they represent Shell I will not be dealing with them either. I understand Iām not going to make or break this business or Shell but at least I can respect myself for not contributing to a company that deep down doesnāt care about its customers. Your fear should that more people like me are going to start...
