Wide open spaces. Gecko Road newly paved and that's awesome. Finally a little of that big fee for a year pass is being used for some improvements to the area.

Please don't litter. Pack out what you bring. Pick up any litter you see that may have been left by other campers. There are dumpsters near the Ranger Station, so take your garbage bags there. Don't leave on the side of the road. There is no trash fairy to pick up after you.

Winds can be extreme at times, so secure garbage and all things that could become loose and become trash.

Who would’ve thought you could find sand dunes in CA, especially about 5 hours away from LA. 4th of July weekend, got there by 7am, nobody there at that time. Walked around and took some photos. Seriously felt like I was in Dubai or Egypt. To get to this spot, search Hugh T. Osborne Lookout Park on google maps and...

Absolutely stunning and gorgeous. One of the rangers was super helpful in guiding me to a parking spot for my semi so I could go enjoy the dunes for a bit. The sand feels soooooooo good and no amount of pictures or videos will do this place justice. Can't wait to...
