I've bought wonderful non-homogenized milk here for months. Ingle's carries the same milk, but I chose to support this local small business. The last gallon I purchased was dated April 27th (today is the 20th) and it was spoiled. When shaken, the fat and milk did not become a homologous solution, but remained chunky, smelled bad and was discolored (slightly yellow). The man who runs the store basically treated me like I didn't know anything about natural milk and tried to convince me nothing was wrong with it. He did not offer to refund my money or give me a fresh gallon. He said his "milkman has gone for the day". As a school bus driver, I drove several field trips to a dairy farm in Newnan, GA, that used low-temp vat pasteurization and produced non-homogenized milk. I know what milk smells like, even the old fashioned farm fresh milk. I know what non-homogenized milk does when shaken. I know what color fresh milk looks like. I expect fair customer service and a refund/replacement for bad products. I just left the milk there without compensation for anything. Treating customers in a patronizing condescending manner without taking any responsibility for your bad products is, to say the least,...
Read moreChanging my review because ground beef I bought last visit was in a plastic tube with writing and not the plain paper tube when they used to grind in house. Don't believe this was 100% ground chuck lots of string & grizzley stuff in it SHAME!!! Ate it tonight YUCK!! I don't do commercial tube ground meat could go to Restaurant depot and get that very cheap. Will have to go back to having the butcher grind my roast chuck for us so we know what it is in it. Like the store will still shop their but not for the ground beef unless I see the paper tubing they used to use when they ground it in house. And also cheddar was very soft, good cheeder is hard from aging did not have the correct flavor tasted like cheep yellow American...
Read moreMy grandmother and I went in to get sandwiches. We got home and realized our receipts had a large difference after talking over the price. Turns out they charged for something neither of us bought. We went back in a couple days later when we had time to get another sandwich and to make them aware of the mistake and receive a refund. The owner of the store would not issue a refund because it was “too much” to go back and check inventory. What I learned from this experience is to never trust or go back to this store. I strongly encourage anyone that shops here to always check their receipts. I wouldn’t be surprised if this wasn’t an honest mistake, especially after they refused to do anything about...
