I went there and I even posted them on my TikTok and I was so happy because I thought I’d be from there with a good dog. They told me they gave my dog his shots and everything and they took me back and they gave me a great but the dog was a 60 pound dog and was not the breed they told me it was. They never gave me papers for the dog. They just took a picture of my ID and that was off and because my kids were happy I took the dog but as soon as the dog got to my house, I treated him like a king. I bought him a big playpen with a big bag with a big bowl of water and food with different types of toys, a cool mat so whenever he gets hot, he was inside having his own room in the house because I have a four bedroom house and he’s being walked daily. I had the dog for like five days And the dog was trying to attack. Anyone who came in my house I would have to put him in the cage because he will go ballistic and want to attack and break the cage My ❤️ Husband was the only one that was in control of him because he chose My ❤️ Husband as the alpha but when the dog got here that I actually took him a shower because the sanctuary light and never took him a shower. I realize it was full of warm and I had to treat him with triple anabiotic, ointments and buy him medicated, shampoos and conditioner, and a medicated food because the food that they gave me was giving him stomach problems so I had to buy a bag of food that cost almost nearly $150 which was for his digestive system and I started having that dog looking beautiful, but I reached out to him and told him that unfortunately I had to give him back because I have a two year old baby and she wants to play with him and he does too, but since he is 60 pounds he knocked her over so that I would just take him back since I have not legally adopted him yet I had only sheltered him and he pretty much called code enforcement and said that the dog was aggressive and asked for the dog to be...
Read moreWhen I say this man is a gem… I do not exaggerate. I don’t know what any of these other reviews are saying because he is a man with passion. He may not be able to answer every call but he answered mine and it was truly a blessing. He has poured his entire heart in this sanctuary and helping dogs! I had found a dog that was pregnant and he offered SO MUCH support! These people on here complaining about a man offering free spays and neuters because he doesn’t get to answer every phone call is defeating what he is out here doing. He was more than professional with me and he is not doing this for your acceptance. He is doing it to help these animals in need and the owners as well. If you notice he isn’t able to take every call then maybe you should volunteer and see what it looks like, a day in his shoes. I don’t know this man, except that I was in need with a stray, and there was NO ONE else there to help. Our “community service” all said they were full or they don’t take strays. This man was the only one to step up! I hope to keep in contact with Redland Dog Sanctuary. He has inspired me to want to be able to do more (even though I did not want the dog I found, I had too much on my plate as it was ) I felt I had support to help this momma with 10 puppies that I found on the side of the road. People need to have more compassion. This man is the real deal. Went above and beyond and that is rare in this world we live in. We need more...

I recently visited Redlands Dog Sanctuary to utilize their free spay and neuter services, expecting a professional and community-focused experience. Instead, I was met with shocking hostility from none other than the owner himself, Newton Siquira Jr.
From the moment I arrived, he was exceptionally rude and aggressive, speaking in a completely unprofessional manner. Despite not engaging with his hostility, I was disrespected without cause. Hoping it was an isolated incident, I returned the next day, only to experience the same appalling behavior. This is not how anyone affiliated with Miami-Dade County Animal Services should be treating members of the community—especially those seeking to do the responsible thing by caring for their pets. If the county is aware that an organization representing them is being run with this level of disrespect and unprofessionalism, it raises serious concerns.
Not only did I leave without receiving any services, but the experience left me wondering how such behavior is allowed in a facility that claims to serve the public. If professionalism, compassion, and ethical treatment matter to you, I strongly recommend seeking services elsewhere. I sincerely hope Miami-Dade County takes notice of the way this operation is being run and reevaluates their association with it. Sincerely, A...
