In response to the Clubhouse owner/manage, yes, I am a member and resident of Northgate.
I also agree, that the front desk are rude and I always feel uncomfortable walking past the front desk to the pool. So I rarely visit the Clubhouse because of their demeanour. I agree with the other comments that Northgate has changed and it's no longer a Senior community, so the rules should be updated to accommodate the younger residents and this should be taken into account.
It when the Senior citizens start complaining about the younger kids and then the rules get enforced very strongly. We can't even have small isolated floaties in the pool. Not big. Just small floaties to sit. It's very discouraging to visit with all the monitoring and strict rules.
Why the gym cannot be open to 10 years and older with an accompanying adult present. Some kids have weight issues that the gym will help benefit their Weightloss.
Old post: Very nice community with various activities to participate. Yes, there are rules to abide by, but there is too much micro managing by the workers. Some times, I feel like I am visiting a prison with all the consistent monitoring. We are adults, not children that need consistent supervision, especially the ones that do not cause any issues to the public.
Newer Post: The staff is trying to be more pleasant but still the more seasoned ones are not as friendly and open. The newer staff is more pleasant and will say hello. I will continue to update this post until I can give this place higher stars. Im hoping I...
Read moreNo water in the pool until October 8th, closed for 5 weeks, in the middle of the summer, (brilliant idea), Could it have been done while it was closed for several months during pandemic? Wish I could get a partial refund for the three months this place has been closed over the past year. But, don't worry, you can there and look at the fish tank, knit something, etc. This "Royal Palm Clubhouse" needs someone to take this "clubhouse" out of the 1950's.
Follow-Up: So was it permitting? or your decision to wait for the snowbirds to leave? I am a 12 month resident here. Why do you cater to the seasonal people? I suggest it is because management has never gotten away from treating the "clubhouse" like a retirement community. Either way, thanks for responding. If you want some real ideas to increase membership to the pool, which means $$$ for the clubhouse, just ask. BTW, you don't have one thing in the "clubhouse" for children or teens to enjoy. Like I said,...
Read moreWe moved down from Boynton Beach to Homestead due to a granddaughter toddler. Having Royal Palm Club House across from our house makes for daily walks, swims, workouts and socializing with other residents. The aquatic exercises at 9am are great! Summertime is a great time to use the gym (with it’s new treadmills) and follow with an iced coffee gathering at a table for four in the garden (under the awning). The chair exercises are available at the front desk as needed. The TV runs a choice of three so you can workout at your own ability. The dinner events that are planned are well planned and entertainment is fun. Some neighbors also add their...
