The Country Mart — Local services in Hondo

First time visiting this store. I came here specifically for a container of Parisa. Id had it before, and it was one of my favorites. The store was well organized, the staff was friendly, and the selection of most items was decent. There were a few items that were unavailable or only available in larger packages.

Prices here were a bit inflated, about 10% over what the average retail is, but other items were priced around regular price. I felt the markup was well worth not having to round trip drive 16 miles into Hondo and back when you only need a few items.

The line at the front counter was a bit slow, but there is only 1 register, and it was the 5 o'clock rush. Its a small store in a small town, and its convenient for basic groceries & beer runs.

We live 2 miles north of DHanis town and love to drop in at the local meat market and pick up some convenient items to throw on the grill and Blue Bell ice cream for dessert. Great Texas country store. My boys frequent the grill for a quick burger during off-campus school lunch. Call in ahead! Nice variety of needed items when we come up short to bake or cook up something. Us locals get an added bonus of a courtesy charge account. Thank you...

I cannot say enough good things about this place. While Dhanis is a very small town, this store is a blessing. They meat market in the back has the most tender ribeye steaks, the ground beef makes one mean burger. They now have a cafe with great food for a quick lunch. Staff are friendly local folks.
