Grace Ridge Church — Local services in Honesdale

As good as this church and its people are, the church leaders opted for dumping the traditional worship with a hymnal book, treating their senior congregants like red-headed stepchildren, selling their older buildings downtown, and turning worship into a Sunday morning nightclub with the rock band up front at what was an auxiliary building way out of town.

This is in an effort to reach out to young adult members. As good as this appears, the trouble is that membership will eventually dwindle as more young adults leave the WC for "greener pastures," meaning employment at all.

God help this church as its growth direction may not bear as much fruit as is hoped. Pray for this church and its leaders, as they are good people with a pretty solid Gospel message overall, and that they do not lose their way as they try to gather...

I have been attending this church for over a year. Their message is always clear and resonates in my heart, giving me hope and inspiration and often much to ponder about for the week. The goals and aspirations to bring others to Christ and the community mission and community involvement are what attracted me to this church. Rev. Lyle is an "all-in" Christian who really wants to teach and help people. He is up-front and honest. George, Andy, Emily and Clare are all just really, really good people who sincerely care about helping others. They are all honest, have great integrity, they truly care about people and it's just an outstanding place to go and learn about Jesus.
