Mountain Valley Meat — Local services in Hood River

We took 2 steers to Mountain Valley Meats on Feb 14 2022. We were unable to get a appt with any meat cutter since the beginning of the covid. When we contacted Jayson from Mountain Valley he was very nice and assured us we would recieve our hide and the head from our Highland cattle. When I went to pick-up the head and hide he told me the head went missing. We made a deal after he was so super apologetic that I would recieve free jerky and pepperoni when I returned to pick-up the beef. The next week when the beef was cut ,wrapped and ready for pick-up there was no pepperoni or jerky and no response or explanation. This was my first time using Mountain Valley Meats since the new owners took over and will not ever recommend them to any body as they do not have a business that be trusted to do what they say they will do for...

I have been trying to find an excellent tasting grass fed beef....I have tried many grassfed beef from Costco, New Seasons, Natural Grocers, and Whole Foods and countless meat markets! FINALLY!!! I found the best tasting grass fed beef at a reasonable price...$1.50 less than I was currently paying!!! My nephew who lives in Hood River recommended Mountain Valley Meat... now we drive from Troutdale to get our meat. THANK YOU FOR YOUR EXCELLENT BEEF !! WE WILL BE BACK TO TRY...

After using the bigger companies in Portland for many many years we are so happy to be using Mt. Valley! In the last couple years we had had Steers, pigs and lamb done here. We have been very pleased with everything from the quality of the cut and wrap, the amazing pepperoni, summer sausage and the best Charizo. The owners are two of the nicest people to deal with. Can't say enough about their willingness to help you and educate you on what they do. Thank you for turning that...
