We went for Sunday Mothers Day Brunch after booking on OPEN TABLE. The Club was buzzing with the conversations of celebrating patrons enjoying not only family and fruends but glasses of sparking wine, beer and a menu of specialty cocktails. We were greeted by a fairly organized team of service associates. We were shown to our high top table where other members of our party were all ready seated. We perused the menu, admired the gorgeous view of the river, mountains and an eagles nest in the distance. I selected the raspberry mimosa and it was delicious! Sparkling wine, raspberry liqueur and fresh raspberries. Oh-la-la! We were instructed to go and help ourselves to shrimp cocktails, avocado toast, fresh fruit and pastries. We ordered our entrees from the menu and went and picked up our first course fare from the buffet. The portions were good, i personally would have liked the avocado on a heartier bread, but enjoyed it as is. My fellow diners enjoyed the pastries and shrimp cocktails as well. Our entrees came with little wait and they were great portions and tasty. The chicken fried steak was sizeable and served with plenty of gravy and 2 eggs. The Chilaquilas were yummy and the eggs were perfect. The biscuits and gravy were also a hearty portion and good. The finale was dipped strawberries which the MOM in our party enjoyed. The service was professional and friendly; the bartender was pouring nonstop- the cocktails were expedited quickly; and Derek A. was assisting behind the bar as needed. It was truly a great experience enjoyed by all and well worth the drive from Spokane. We enjoyed the beauty of the clubhouse, the course and the friendly, professional service. Thank you for...
Read morePlayed the Idaho club earlier this month and I must say that some of the negative reviews of this course have nothing to do with the golf course itself because this is one of the most beautiful golf courses I have ever played.
Our group also played the CDA resort course and also Circling Raven which both were fantastic but the Idaho Club deserves some praises.
Ok, the clubhouse situation...they are in the midst of building a new clubhouse (9/2018) and looked like the foundation and framing work has begun but I don’t know the completion date. The current clubhouse looks to be a former model home but they have what you need inside so wasn’t a big deal for me.
There was no service cart during the round which again really isn’t that big of a deal because I had read about this and brought water and some snacks in my bag.
The price was an absolute steal for a course of this caliber...$95 rack rate on a Friday at 11a.
The driving range and practice green is great with grass hitting stations. The golf course and views are stunning, condition was great, the course is a lot of fun (14 hcp).
One negative is the marshaling of the course-we had 2 groups ahead of us that were playing some group format and were playing slow. We had to wait for 20 minutes on the first hole to tee off and it got so backed up on the 2nd hole we had to call the clubhouse to let them know we were going to jump ahead and finish the front nine later. We went ahead to the 5th hole and it was wide open and didn’t have to wait or have anyone push us.
All in all this is one of the best courses I have played and wouldn’t...
Read moreThe course is a good Nicklaus golf course. However having played as many of his courses as I have the cost of this one is very steep for what it is. That being said it is a fun course and compared to others in the area offers challenges for long hitters (I am not) that you don’t see at the other courses. The views are awesome, and the course itself is in good shape, also when you’re playing with 3 people you really enjoy playing with it even made the day better. It was nice to see a beer cart which is something in the area I hadn’t seen, also the prices of the beers were a good deal. If the course were around $80 it would make it a better one to play but obviously for this area it doesn’t seem unfair to pay the amount asked for green fees as they were very busy. I would however play this course again and plan too soon. Best part of the course IMO are some...
