Update: I get watched like I'm a criminal when I go to the self checkout! OPEN MORE REGISTERS WITH CASHIERS!!!!
Tonight, 12-31-23 at 9:30pm, I went to the food lion in prince george to pick up a few items. I found 2 bottles of prosecco in the refrigerated section marked $9.99, and I put them in my cart. I went to the shelf and took another bottle. I saw the label on the shelf marked $14.99. When I was finished shopping, I went to the self checkout register and immediately asked the white cashier for a manager. I told her why, and she pointed to a black woman saying she was the manager. She told the black woman what I found, and the black woman made me take her to the wine section to explain and show her what I found. While we were walking away the white girl said "people put stuff in the wrong places." After I showed and explained to the black woman what I found, she parroted what the white girl said. I told her to honor the price that I found and the black woman refused. I took her name, shirley. I called the store to ask for the white girls name, and the woman on the phone asked "why," and I told her "I'm going to complain about her." After a long pause, the woman on the phone said Claire. Read moreI am at this Food Lion OFTEN for pick up orders - for work and for home. The shoppers/runners for pick-up orders have been great. Friendly, quick with a couple of exceptions, and they get me on my way in a reasonable amount of time.
If there is an issue at pick-up and I have to call or go IN the store, that is another matter. The phone/internet system in the store apparently has been messed up for years and continues to be so.
Calls to the store about your pick-up when you've been waiting an extended amount of time go unanswered, the extension for the pick-up says it's not in service and try again.
Customer service will claim you either didn't call because the phone didn't ring or blame it on the phones not working. Internet prevents you from communicating directly with the pick-up people. If you know your store has issues, please fix it. *NOTE: I have not interacted with ALL customer service at this store, only two, and I had the same experience with both, so my review is specifically in regards to those interactions and does not reflect on anyone else that may work there in that capacity.

Read moreLess busy than the other food lion near me. Staff is normally nice but sometimes they don't even great you. For about 6 months my food lion brand of stuff were getting bad before experation dates (peanut butter, jam, milk, cheese) all stored at proper temperature.
I always find something expired while shopping and I have tried several times to let them know, not sure if they take it off the floor. Food lion sends you mobile coupons to add to your card and that point of you using your card is for the coupons to be removed. Their employees assume that since you don't have the card you cant key in your phone number linked to card. Discounts weren't applied.
Lastly, every time I come with my reusable bags the cashier and those who help bag seem to have an issue. One cashier even told me he isn't supposed to use "Walmart bags". I have reported this food lion to corporate along with all the issues I have had. I will be shipping at Kroger a from now on even though it's a bit...
